Are you sick of hearing about Hollywood yet?
The invention of social media makes it hard to ignore. Celebrities love to have their egos stroked on the big platforms. Some of them even get into a lot of trouble when they use it.
And that’s exactly what happened to a President Trump-hating comedian when he was destroyed for this insane tweet.
The Me Too Movement exposed a lot of major Hollywood players.
It’s safe to say that Harvey Weinstein, Brett Ratner, and Kevin Spacey’s careers are all over.
But what about people like Louis CK?
He was one of the biggest comedians in the world until five women accused him of sexual misconduct.
He was one of the biggest comedians in the world
After only nine months since he admitted to the allegations, Louis made a surprise appearance at the Greenwich Village Comedy Club. He performed for 15 minutes and worked out new material.
And Michael Ian Black came to his defense when people were furious that he had the audacity to show up.
Will take heat for this, but people have to be allowed to serve their time and move on with their lives. I don't know if it's been long enough, or his career will recover, or if people will have him back, but I'm happy to see him try. https://t.co/QmqdGJnIjy

Black is largely known for Wet Hot American Summer. But you might also remember him for calling the National Rifle Association “a terrorist organization,” after every mass shooting.
It’s strange that he knew he would“take heat for this.” Well, he was right because he did.
Bess Kalb writes for Jimmy Kimmel Live and she responded, “I know his career will recover. Because powerful men are happy to see him try. I know people will have him back. Because powerful men are happy to see him try.”
Because powerful men are happy to see him try.
Anna Akana, best known for Ant-Man said, “Wow, very disappointing to hear from you. How did he “serve time”? By laying low for 9 months?”
He received many comments like this from many of his fellow colleagues.
They were mostly women.
Even pop-singer Cher responded to his tweet.
You have to understand that Hollywood is like a fraternity, especially amongst men.
They all have each other’s backs.
It seemed like Black spent the whole day apologizing for his tweet.
How long is enough time to blacklist Louis CK.
Is Mel Gibson a good example?
Back in 2006, Gibson made national news when he was secretly recorded using racial slurs.
A couple of years ago, his film Hacksaw Ridge was nominated for Best Picture.
What Gibson said and what Louis CK admitted are very different.
However, Louis thinks that less than a year is enough time?
Another thing to consider is that what if this was in a non-entertainment field?
What if he was a manager at a retail store? Would he be allowed to come back after just months?
That would be highly unlikely.
It was truly remarkable that Black defended Louis.
He knew the backlash and yet he went through with it anyway. One time he tweeted a pedophilia joke so that would make sense that he would defend Louis CK. https://offthewire.com/actor-exposed-as-a-pedophile/
That seems like career suicide in and of itself.
But to be fair, his career has been stale for years now. Every once in a while you’ll see Black playing a bit character on an unpopular television show.
This tweet might’ve been the final nail in the coffin though.
