When President Trump wants to “clap back” at someone on Twitter, you better believe he’ll bring the thunder.
The great thing about our President is that he’s not afraid of these “powerful” Hollywood elites and will hurl it right back at them.
And following Robert De Niro’s latest outbursts, Trump quickly destroyed the legendary actor in only two tweets.
As a presenter at the 72nd annual Tony Awards, De Niro opened the evening with a profanity laden statement, declaring: “First, I wanna say, ‘f**k Trump. It’s no longer ‘Down with Trump,’ it’s ‘f**k Trump.'”
This was met with thunderous applause and howls of laughter.
But Trump got the last laugh with just two tweets.
Trump first tweeted:“Robert De Niro, a very Low IQ individual, has received to many shots to the head by real boxers in movies. I watched him last night and truly believe he may be ‘punch-drunk.’”

Then followed it up with:“I guess he doesn’t realize the economy is the best it’s ever been with employment being at an all time high, and many companies pouring back into our country,” he wrote to De Niro. “Wake up Punchy!”

Trump was clearly referencing De Niro’s role as the controversial boxer Jake LaMotta inRaging Bull, which earned De Niro an Academy Award for Best Actor.
De Niro also went on an outrageous tirade when he spoke to high school students during a Rosemary Breslin American Writer Award ceremony:
“So what about the truth? What does the truth even mean today? I mean, if you’re Donald Trump it doesn’t mean anything. If you’re cowardly Republican enablers in Congress you don’t let the truth stand in the way of pathetically clinging to power. Our country is led by a president who believes he can make up his own truth. And we have a word for that — bullsh*t.”
“For example, you might say, as have many professionals, that Trump manifests a serious mental illness that renders him psychologically incapable of discharging duties of the President of the United States. That he’s afflicted with a narcissistic personality disorder.”
“That he’s a congenital liar. A mean-spirited, soulless, amoral, abusive con-artist son of a bitch. F*ck Donald Trump. And I say this, cause I am not political, but I am now. You guys are the future.”
What’s disturbing is that many of our youth look up to these actors and celebrities.
Their words hold powerful weight whether we want to admit it or not. And this has to change.
