It’s no secret Hollywood has long been a cesspool of rampant leftism.
Anti-American filmmakers like Michael Moore get lauded while actor Gary Oldman, a British transplant, delivers a heartfelt, pro-America speech at the Oscars and the attendees sit on their hands.
Now a far-left actress is criticizing America in the most tone-deaf manner possible.
Charlize Theron, an émigrée from South Africa, railed against America, suggesting it was so racist, there were certain parts of the country she wouldn’t take her children.
From The Daily Caller:
Charlize Theron has thought about leaving America to raise her two adopted black children because racism is “alive and well” under President Donald Trump, she told Elle magazine.
Theron also said she would not travel to certain parts of the U.S. because of racism.
“Being raised during the apartheid era in South Africa made me so hyper aware of equality and human rights,” she told Chelsea Handler. “Of course, I have two black kids, but that was always something I was passionate about.”
“I don’t even know how to talk about the last year under our new administration,” she added. “But racism is much more alive and well than people thought. We can’t deny it anymore. We have to be vocal.”
“There are places in this country where, if I got a job, I wouldn’t take it,” the actress continued. “I wouldn’t travel with my kids to some parts of America, and that’s really problematic. There are a lot of times when I look at my kids and I’m like, If this continues, I might have to [leave America]. Because the last thing I want is for my children to feel unsafe.”
Of course Theron didn’t mention the Utopia to which she would move.
Meanwhile in Theron’s native South Africa, a country that has endured racial and political strife for years and years, farmers are being butchered and removed from their land on the basis of race.
It’s both hypocritical and incorrect to suggest America is the nexus of racism.
From The Daily Mail:
White South African farmers will be removed from their land after a landslide vote in parliament.
The country’s constitution is now likely to be amended to allow for the confiscation of white-owned land without compensation, following a motion brought by radical Marxist opposition leader Julius Malema.
It passed by 241 votes for to 83 against after a vote on Tuesday, and the policy was a key factor in new president Cyril Ramaphosa’s platform after he took over from Jacob Zuma in February.
Mr. Malema said the time for ‘reconciliation is over’. ‘Now is the time for justice,’ News24 reported.
‘We must ensure that we restore the dignity of our people without compensating the criminals who stole our land.’
Mr. Malema has a long-standing commitment to land confiscation without compensation. In 2016 he told his supporters he was ‘not calling for the slaughter of white people – at least for now’.
Leftists like Theron have absolutely no perspective. She would be hard-pressed to find a more tolerant, upwardly-mobile country than the United States.
Her career should be a testament to that fact.
