Democrats swore there would be a “blue wave” in the 2018 midterms.
Stacey Abrams, one of the main Democratic hopefuls, lost a very close race for Georgia governor.
But Abrams has sour grapes about her loss, and now she’s comparing one controversial NFL game to her gubernatorial race.
Hillary Clinton still hasn’t recovered from her surprising defeat at the hands of Donald Trump.
Since the loss, Hillary has been on a never-ending tour explaining why everyone else was responsible for her loss.
Instead of accepting the fact she was a deeply flawed, deeply unpopular candidate, Hillary blamed the media for suppressing turnout by suggesting she had the race in the bag.
She blamed women whose husbands “forced” them to vote for Trump.
Hillary blamed the FBI, even though James Comey and his underlings did everything they could to appease her.
And Hillary also blamed the Russians who helped Trump “steal” the election.
This has become a mainstream talking point on the left.
They’ve repeated it so many times, they’ve begun to believe it even though there isn’t a shred of evidence.
But Hillary isn’t the only Democrat claiming election theft.
Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum and Georgia candidate Stacey Abrams both cried that their races were stolen.
In the current political climate, Democrats believe the only way they lose elections is if they’re stolen.
But the facts say otherwise, and in some cases, they say the opposite.
In Florida, there was compelling evidence that an elected county commissioner was committing election fraud in favor of Gillum.
In the case of Abrams, she keeps saying black voters were disenfranchised, but the claim is absurd.
Abrams’s latest form of whining includes comparing her defeat to the end of the NFC championship game between the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints.
Due to a horrendous non-call — the referees swallowed their whistles on a blatant pass interference that would’ve all but sealed the game for the Saints — the Rams advanced to the Super Bowl.
Abrams said of the game, “If you saw [the] playoff game between the [Los Angeles] Rams and the [New Orleans] Saints, there was a call that should have been made and folks are righteously indignant.”
The call was so terrible, Saints fans are even suing the NFL for damages.
Abrams continued, “There was a call that should have been made a long time ago in Georgia—you don’t get to be the referee and the player.”
The outcome of the Georgia race in no way resembled the Rams-Saints game.
Georgia has 24-hour online voter registration, so no voters were being disenfranchised.
Also, the number of polling stations is determined by a bipartisan state legislature, and the precinct that had issues with long wait times was under Democratic control.
But these facts don’t matter.
Abrams was anointed by the mainstream media, and celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Will Ferrell openly campaigned for her.
It still wasn’t enough, just like it wasn’t enough for Hillary in 2016.
Instead of facing their own failures, Democrats would rather blame everyone else for their losses.
