Violent crime is spiking in New York City.
The progressive policies that made the city unlivable are making a dangerous comeback.
Now something shocking happened when one famed actor walked down a New York street.
Comedic actor Rick Moranis of “Ghostbusters” fame got more than he bargained for while walking down the street in the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
Moranis was sucker-punched for no reason as he was minding his own business.
Sadly, it took a brutal attack on a famous actor for people to start caring about the violence that has befallen New York City and other major American cities.
Hollywood star Chris Evans was particularly fired up about the Moranis attack.
My blood is boiling. Find this man. You don’t touch Rick Moranis. https://t.co/VXBbTjdDwa

Moranis took a break from acting in the late ‘90s, but there’s been speculation that he could have a cameo in the upcoming “Ghostbusters” sequel.
Shocking attacks like the one on Moranis have unfortunately become commonplace.
Gun sales have skyrocketed in 2020, even in heavy blue areas like New York.
People feel unsafe with all of the talk of defunding the police, particularly when criminals have been released from prison due to COVID-19 concerns.
Mayor Bill de Blasio has only made the situation worse by siding against his own police officers yet again.
De Blasio is a wild-eyed socialist who believes that the cause of the people rioting and looting in the streets is justified.
Meanwhile, de Blasio had nothing but harsh words for the New Yorkers who fled the city in light of soaring crime, draconian coronavirus lockdowns, and tax hikes.
De Blasio called them “fair weather friends” on the way out the door while Governor Andrew Cuomo is begging the tax base to stay.
The assault on Moranis underscores other acts of violence that have gone viral in the city and the state.
For example, during the George Floyd riots, an elderly couple in upstate New York was beaten while defending a store from looters.
The left has tacitly said that violence is acceptable so long as it’s in the name of “social justice.”
The obvious consequence is that more violence will occur.
In the past few months, police departments across the country, including the NYPD, have been hit with a wave of early retirements and resignations.
The irrational demonization of police officers has reached a level unseen in America, not even the turbulent 1960s.
Hopefully Moranis’s attacker will be brought to justice, and hopefully the left will finally realize that their policies are leading to chaos and violence in the streets and innocent people are getting hurt.
