Corporate media has moved wildly to the left.
That goes double for the world of sports.
Now Sports Illustrated is dead for good after their latest “woke” stunt.
In 2016, a higher percentage of sports journalists voted for Hillary Clinton than did political journalists.
That attitude has been reflected in so-called mainstream sports media outlets pandering to the “woke” mob.
Look no further than Sports Illustrated, which has now decimated its brand by engaging in “woke” activism with its model choices.
In fact, the latest SI Swimsuit Edition features the 81-year-old, ex-felon Martha Stewart.

One of the alternative covers for the swimsuit issue featured transgender pop artist Kim Petras, a biological male who “transitioned” at 16-years-old.

In response to the cover announcement, Stewart said, “To be on the cover at my age was a challenge. And I think I met the challenge…I didn’t starve myself, but I didn’t eat any bread or pasta for a couple of months. I went to pilates every other day and that was great; I’m still going to pilates every other day ’cause it’s so great. And I just, I live a clean life anyway — good diet and good exercise and healthy skin care and all of that stuff.”
Leftists want to make everything political and undermine cultural norms.
That’s why they do subversive things like ruining the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
The core constituency is not interested in these choices, but activists don’t care.
The point is to shift the culture.
Swimsuit director MJ Day explained in an interview, “There is no theme [to this year’s issue]—rather, there is a vision, a sentiment, a hope that women can live in a world where they feel no limitations, internally or externally…But the absence of a theme is not to say that [these women] don’t share certain common traits. They’re constantly evolving.”
Petras said, “It’s very iconic, and a lot of very iconic people have done it before, so, big dream come true for me…I hope people take away from this that I look really hot and Sports Illustrated is cool.”
Petras is also the first transgender performer to win a Grammy.
He explained his sacrilegious song “Unholy” by saying, “With religion, it’s just been a thing that I never even had a chance to fit into, because religion never accepted trans people, and I’ve been trans my whole life…When I was a kid and all my friends would go to [receive] Communion and things like that, I was never a part of it. It was just never an option for me. But I still was curious and wanted to know. I think religion was really the first thing where it was like, okay, I am not wanted or accepted here, and I’m on my own…And the song is kind of a thought of, well, if everyone was equal and accepted in spirituality, then maybe I would have wanted to be a part of it and maybe I’d be a different person…But also, I found my own version of spirituality through that. It’s honestly about, I wish everyone got treated the same.”
Every cultural cornerstone will be attacked by the left until society has been “remade” into a more “equitable” society.
