Hollywood celebrities attacking Donald Trump has become old hat.
They seemingly take turns coming up with the most outlandish and disgusting “takedowns” of the president and his associates.
But one actor is unraveling into a basket case with his incessant rants against Trump.
The mainstream media will never admit it because they spend every waking hour trying to destroy him, but they love Donald Trump.
Outlets covering the president get the “Trump Bump,” so they ruthlessly attack him no matter what.
It even applies to members of his own party who get a pat on the head for pouncing on Trump.
Mitt Romney stabbed Trump in the back with a scathing op-ed in The Washington Post, and the left magically gained a “newfound respect” for Romney.
It seems Hollywood celebrities, people known to crave attention, are chasing the same high of the Trump Bump.
They hate Trump, yet they give him so much of their time and mental energy because they’re addicted to the Twitter likes, retweets, and CNN interviews.
One of the worst offenders of this is Hollywood royalty,Robert De Niro.
For decades, De Niro mainly stayed out of the public eye, but lately, he’s been making up for lost time.
It’s impossible to miss De Niro ranting about Trump like a madman.
During an event, he said he wanted to “punch” Trump in the face.
At the Tony Awards, he barked “F*** Trump” to a packed house of rabid leftists.
He’s twice appeared on Saturday Night Live as Robert Mueller to fulfill his fantasy of pursuing Trump.
De Niro recently called Trump’s presidency “the worst” thing anyone has ever witnessed.
With regard to Trump, De Niro has become so monomaniacal and redundant, he’s beating a dead horse with a broken record.
And no surprise, he’s doing it again.
In an interview with The New Yorker, De Niro descended further into his rage.
“He thinks he’s a mobster. He’s a mutt,” De Niro said.
Someone should remind De Niro he’s an actor, not a mobster.
De Niro continued, “And everything that he says about other people—that they’re losers, that they’re this and that, every terrible thing he says—he’s really saying about himself. I don’t know what his parents did, I don’t know how they treated him, whatever, but it’s all projection.”
De Niro appears to be challenging the Billy Crystal role in their film Analyze This.
He sounds like the physicians who go on CNN and MSNBC and laughably try to diagnose Trump via his Twitter account.
De Niro also said, “Cause he has no plan. He has no center whatsoever. He even gives gangsters a bad name. ’Cause a gangster will give you his word and will pride himself—or herself. He doesn’t even understand that kind of logic. He thinks he’s slick and all that. There’s something wrong with him mentally.”
Except Trump is keeping his word.
He’s enacting the policies he campaigned on.
He cut taxes, slashed regulation, renegotiated NAFTA, pulled out of the fraudulent Paris Climate Accord, and appointed conservative judges.
Now he’s working to fulfill the promise of disentangling America from foreign wars and building a wall on the southern border.
Strangely, the left has been dovish on foreign policy and in favor of a barrier along the border with Mexico.
But suddenly the left morphed into war hawks and open border zealots, because of Trump.
Finally, De Niro said America was in “crisis” because of Trump.
The American crisis only resides in the pages of the New York Times and Washington Post, and on the airwaves of CNN and MSNBC.
In the real world, the economy is doing relatively well, unemployment is historically low, and American troops are coming home from the Middle East.
In anywhere but the left’s bizarro-world, these would be great accomplishments.
The left needs celebrities like De Niro to convince the American people of the opposite.
