The NFL has been ruined by political activism.
The low point was the spread of the anti-American anthem protests started by Colin Kaepernick.
And Rihanna got blasted for performing at the Super Bowl after supporting Kaepernick.
When San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick kneeled for the national anthem, he was celebrated by the left-wing media.
Kaepernick was soon turned into a martyr by the media when all 32 teams declined to sign him as a free agent, never mind his play had greatly diminished and he turned into a media circus.
Leftists across various sports and professions kneeled in solidarity with Kaepernick’s anti-American message, including pop star Rihanna.
When Rihanna had a chance to perform at Super Bowl LIII in February 2019, she declined because of the NFL’s alleged mistreatment of Kaepernick.
A source told People Magazine that “Yes [the NFL] asked her and yes, she declined,” and added that the Kaepernick #TakeAKnee movement was “likely” why she declined.
Rihanna also posted on Instagram, “for those of you who thought I was watchin super bowl…we beefin.”
Kaepernick responded, “I really appreciate [Rihanna] keepin it real.”
So it must’ve come to a shock to Kaepernick and all of the “woke” activists when Rihanna performed at Super Bowl LVII.

Fans were livid after watching the performance.
One online commenter wrote, “Rihanna is the biggest sellout of the past 5 years, I support Kaepernick in 2019 so I decline to do the SB halftime show, funny how people change up, I’m not being woke, she’s showing how much she actually cared about Kaepernick being blacklisted, not at all!”
Another wrote, “Rihanna is pretty much what I expected of her: out of shape, limited vocal range, generally dull sounding. Better at marketing herself than performing. BTW, how’s that Kaepernick boycott going?
Another Twitter put it best, writing, “Can’t wait to see [Rihanna] perform the halftime show and remind us all that the 2019 boycotts over Colin Kaepernick were largely just about being on the right side of #TheCurrentThing.”
Kaepernick is now old news, so the faux activists have moved on to something new.
Some are still holding out hope that Kaepernick might return even though he hasn’t played competitive football in six seasons, and he wasn’t good the last time he played.
Last year, Kaepernick had a tryout with the Las Vegas Raiders, and it did not go well.
Hall of Fame defensive tackle and former Raider Warren Sapp said, “I heard it was a disaster. I heard it was one of the worst workouts ever. I’m wondering how the hell this happened and the tape didn’t get out…”
As for Rihanna, many panned her halftime performance.
She hadn’t released an album or performed live in seven years, and she was also pregnant, so she had a limited catalog and limited movement.
Rihanna is tied in with music mogul Jay-Z, who has been attempting to smooth over the NFL’s image.
Right now, it looks like Jay-Z won over Kaepernick and the revolutionaries.
