CNN tends to aggravate conservatives, not because of their political leanings, but because of their assertions that they’re moderate.
The network’s credibility took a massive hit when former contributor and Hillary Clinton ally Donna Brazile fed her debate questions during the election cycle.
Now there’s even more empirical evidence proving what conservatives already knew: CNN is biased.
A new study shows that CNN’s content is heavily skewed toward a left-leaning viewpoint.
From the Washington Times:
“CNN is completely obsessed with Donald Trump — and not in a good way,” says Rich Noyes, senior editor of Newsbusters.org, which has conducted an ambitious study of more than 13 consecutive hours of recent CNN coverage that reveals the network’s true fascination: 92 percent of it was devoted to President Trump, primarily dwelling on his firing of FBI director James B. Comey.
Only 68 minutes were devoted to the news of the day. Of the on-air guests featured in the time period, 96 were “anti-Trump,” while only seven were supportive of the president, Mr. Noyes says.
“The imbalance in guests was amplified by the frequent editorializing of CNN’s own hosts and anchors,” Mr. Noyes continues, citing Chris Cuomo, who said White House explanations of the Comey events were “filled with lies,” and John King, who declared them to be “a heap of falsehoods.”
The focused study provided some telling information about the network, which claims to be politically moderate, Mr. Noyes notes.
“This review looked at just a single day, but the pattern is overwhelming: CNN is providing nearly wall-to-wall coverage of the Trump presidency, and is anything but down-the-middle in their approach,” he concludes.
CNN’s claims of being moderate, while clearly having a bias, undermines the public trust in the network and is why CNN has polled as the least-trusted of the big three cable news outlets.
From TruthRevolt.org:
A Rasmussen Poll published [earlier this year] declares that CNN is the least trusted news network on cable television, reports Politistick.
The new poll found that 75% of those polled watch at least some cable news (24% say they rarely or never watch cable news networks for politics). Out of that number, 42% watch Fox News, 35% CNN, and 19% MSNBC.
Fox News topped the poll as trusted by 50% of those polled. MSNBC is viewed as trusted by 43%. [CNN] came in third in trustworthiness at 33%.
This is a bad look for the self-described “most trusted name in news.”
CNN ignores facts and stories that don’t fit into their progressive agenda, which wouldn’t be so frustrating if they just owned up to it.
A few months ago, after Donald Trump’s comments about crime problems in Sweden, CNN host Don Lemon spoke with right-of-center documentary filmmaker Ami Horowitz on the issue; Horowitz made the film that elicited Trump’s statement.
Lemon defiantly ignored the official government data Horowitz presented that supported Trump’s claims because it didn’t conform to Lemon’s predetermined narrative.
Unless CNN changes its tactics, the network could see its ‘brand’ continue to crater.
