8) American Sniper
American Sniper is by far his highest grossing directed movie with a lifetime gross of $350,000,000 million and dwarfing any of his other movies in comparison.
The movie depicts the epic Navy SEAL Iraq veteran sniper Chris Kyle (Bradley Cooper) and his struggle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder when he’s faced with difficult decisions on the battlefield, but most importantly, at home as well. He’s addicted to the soldier life but also has disdain for it and you know that because of certain interactions he has while he’s at home – including his ultimate demise.
It’s an intense movie that Cooper and Eastwood knock way out of the park. Chris Kyle is one of the most important Iraqi war veterans and that’s the point.
