9) Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
Again, addressing the elephant in the room, this jazzy classy masterpiece stars none other than Kevin Spacey who was ousted as an alleged pedophile and if you’ve seen this movie then you’d know it makes it even worse. Spacey plays an aristocratic homosexual pedophile from New Orleans who is caught up in a murder trial.
The movie is framed through John Kelso (John Cusack) a reporter who is tasked with covering the case. However, watching a movie like this and any other actor who was accused in the Me Too Movement scandal, is all about compartmentalization.
Be aware that a lot of people worked on this movie and their livelihoods were at stake. That includes Clint Eastwood’s smooth direction in this movie. This might be one of the most understated of his directorial pieces.
