Artists who have any sort of respect for President Trump are about as common as a two-dollar bill.
In the entertainment industry, supporting Trump has become career suicide for many, like it was for James Woods, Tim Allen, and Roseanne Barr.
But one pro-Trump musician just shocked everyone with his newest album’s success.
Kanye West is considered one of the best rappers of his generation and most hail him as an undeniable musical genius.
West shocked his fans and peers recently when he came out as a staunch supporter of President Trump.
After being denounced by several celebrities for this announcement,West’s newest album was expected to be far less successful.
And yet, that simply wasn’t true.

According to Billboard, West has,“tie[d] Eminem for the second-most No. 1 albums among hip-hop acts in the history of the chart. Only JAY-Z is ahead of them, as he owns 14 chart-toppers. Among all acts, The Beatles have the most No. 1s, with 19.”
You know that if West is creeping up on The Beatles, he must be doing something right.
One would think his fans would demonize his music because of his “polarizing” views, but they just can’t deny his genius.
Many liberals interpreted West’s free-thinking attitude as a meltdown, and many of his peers believed he was suffering from mental illness. Imagine being that dense that someone coming out as a Trump supporter is automatically attached to having a mental illness.
Even West’s fellow superstar musician and friend John Legend attempted to “talk West down from the ledge.”
West even more hilariously tweeted out their conversation:

West’s support for Trump infuriated many, but he hasn’t backed down.

West later admitted to fellow rapper T.I. during a recording session for his new album that, “When I wear that hat, it’s like a fight for equality. It’s like ‘oh, I can wear this hat too.’”
West has also stated that he feels Obama failed him as a President: “Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed.Obama was our opioids. It made us feel like everything was good.”
