Wonder Woman is about to hit theaters and the marketing team at Warner Bros. has really been pushing a feminist message with their posters, trailers, and promotions.
Okay, fine.
And you’d think it looks like a decent movie judging from the trailers, until you reconsider that it’s a Warner Bros. superhero film and they haven’t really succeeded in the superhero department recently – i.e. Batman vs. Superman; Dawn of Justice, and Suicide Squads.
Both of those movies had great trailers but were colossal disappointments.
And now a popular movie theater is pushing the feminist agenda onto its customers in regards to Wonder Woman, which has certainly sparked a lot of controversy.
Fox News reports:
“Alamo Drafthouse announced a “women only” screening of “Wonder Woman” for June 6.
‘The most iconic superheroine in comic book history finally has her own movie, and what better way to celebrate than with an all-female screening?’ wrote the Austin-based Theater.
‘Apologies, gentlemen, but we’re embracing our girl power and saying ‘No Guys Allowed’ for one special night at the Alamo Ritz.
And when we say ‘Women (and People Who Identify As Women) Only,’ we mean it.
Everyone working at this screening — venue staff, projectionist, and culinary team — will be female.”
The DC comic flick, which stars Israeli actress Gal Gadot, tells the story of Diana, who leaves behind her Amazon nation to become a superhero for “a world that desperately needs it.’”
But before you brush this off and think it isn’t a big deal, consider the implications the Alamo Drafthouse is perpetuating here.
What if Sylvester Stallone made a new Rambo movie and a movie theater decided to have an all-male showing and said “Sorry ladies, no females allowed.”
That would cause one of the biggest uproars in film history.
The term “feminism” is defined as equal rights and opportunity for females, which also implies the same genderless discrimination for males as well.
In other words, this makes absolutely no sense. And the irony is that the liberal news media is perpetuating this story as “Oh angry men, get over it.”
Just imagine the social justice warrior outrage if the reverse was true though? This is discrimination and there isn’t any other way of looking at it.
So people took to Twitter to voice their understandable frustrations.

No, no it isn’t. This is apparently a celebration of inequality by perpetuating more inequality.
But Alamo Drafthouse doubled down.
We’ve added a 2nd screening of our WOMEN ONLY: WONDER WOMAN show here in Austin. Tickets are live now: https://t.co/P00kgkOogv pic.twitter.com/GGlzacIvmx

The shame is that the Alamo Drafthouse truly is an awesome movie theater where you can drink and order moderately priced mediocre food, which is far better than most other movie theaters.
So it’s also a shame they’re so tone deaf to what they think is “feminism.”
