You would think that the Fourth of July is one of the few holidays that we can put our ideological differences aside and come together to be grateful for not only the people who sacrificed their lives for our great nation, but also the privilege we all share to live here.
Nope. Not for some. Liberal news and magazine institutions desperately want to separate its product from the pack and will say anything to achieve that, even at the behest of our country.
And this popular magazine went officially insane with ludicrous accusations on July 4th; one of them being that “racism and patriotism go hand in hand.”
You have to wonder when this insurgence of anti-American ideologies started. One could probably argue that patient zero of this epidemic was disgraced former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick when he first kneeled for the pre-game National Anthem in 2016.
A divide occurred in that moment. Kaepernick is hailed by some but disgusted by the rest. It’s an unfortunate reality.
You could see the reverberations on networks like ESPN whose analysts supported Kaepernick’s actions, causing millions of Americans to immediately unsubscribe. But it also planted a seed in other news and magazine institutions.
For instance, one of them is “Teen Vogue.” The pre-adult magazine posted some outrageous content on Twitter on America’s birthday like one article that actually echoed, “Racism and patriotism go hand in hand.” It was rather jaw-dropping.
The May 15th article (it was posted again on July 4th) entitled “The Racist History of America’s Patriotic Anthems,” criticized the usual songs like “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “God Bless America,” and “Dixie.”
Its author, Jameelah Nasheed, wrote the typical rhetoric about the racist language in the songs and how, for instance, “Dixie” was prominent in the controversial 1915 movie “The Birth of a Nation.”
Nasheed notes that some of the authors and singers of these songs like Kate Smith – whose rendition of “God Bless America” was recently banned by two professional sports teams – were maybe “patriots” but that “doesn’t exempt her from being racist.”
She followed up that claim with, “In reality, racism and patriotism go hand in hand.”
You can read the article here if you feel so obliged.

That was the first controversial article “Teen Vogue” posted.
The next one they posted was a bizarre and aggressive rally cry with an article called “Is Revolution Possible?”
“We have to be organized, we have to know our history, we have to politically understand why this is happening.” https://t.co/0udvTBst6c

And finally they posted an article entitled, “You Cannot Separate America’s Present Beauty From Its Violent Past.” One of the quotes in the article read, “I had loved America, but the longer I lived in it, the more I realized how little it loved me back.”
Another quote from the same article was, “This independence day, I’ll be watching the sky, enjoying the lights, the warmth of being surrounded by family and friends, yet all the while keeping close the knowledge of all the crimes this nation has committed.”
Here’s that ridiculous article if you want to read it.

Since when did “Teen Vogue” get aggressively political and start invoking such hatred against America?
You know this all stems from their hatred of President Trump and it could’ve been in response to his speech and parade later that day on July 4th. It’s almost like they’re trying to plant a seed in teenagers’ minds to be ruthlessly anti-Trump.
What other possible reason could there be? They are what they publish.
