Hollywood is filled with hypocrites.
Elites constantly say one thing and do another.
One new movie just highlighted Hollywood’s ideological inconsistency.
Gun Control
Leftists truly live in bizarro-world.
Down is up.
Water is dry.
Man is woman.
They never met a contradiction they didn’t like.
One glaring issue is guns.
The left completely misunderstands the debate around guns.
Their undue panic over 3D guns even ramped up the gun control debate.
They dismiss the idea that guns are a citizenry’s check against tyranny.
They claim Donald Trump is Hitler, yet want him to confiscate all of the guns.
Leftists don’t believe in the Constitution.
So they don’t care about the Second Amendment.
They call gun rights groups like the NRA terrorist organizations.
Meanwhile, the NRA helped arm citizens against an actual Democrat terrorist group, the KKK.
Perhaps the greatest irony is the left hates guns, but knows nothing about them.
For example, they want to ban semi-automatic rifles.
They don’t understand semi-automatic simply means one trigger pull fires one round.
So in essence they want to ban almost all rifles.
Some hardcore gun-grabbers openly admit this.
Others hide their true intentions.
Halloween Hype
Hollywood elites openly oppose gun rights.
But many of them made their careers in films featuring gunplay.
Matt Damon and George Clooney are two of the worst offenders.
Damon built his career on the Jason Bourne films.
A gun is practically glued to his hand in the movies.
And Clooney wields a gun in several of his movies, including the ironically titled “The American” where Clooney plays an assassin.
A recent example includes actress Jamie Lee Curtis.
Curtis espoused anti-gun rhetoric in the past.
But her latest film, a sequel to the original classic horror film “Halloween,” featured Curtis is a gun-toting grandma.
In the original film, Curtis plays a high school student who’s something of a shrinking violet.
In this film, Curtis’s character is tough as nails and owns an arsenal.
She even trained her daughter to be a marksman with a rifle.
Audiences responded greatly to the film.
It grossed $80.5 million opening weekend.
That’s the second biggest horror opening ever, the largest opening for October, and the largest opening for a female lead over 55.
For an industry that hates guns, it has no problem profiting off gun-centric stories.
Do As I Say, Not As I Do
One of the perks of being a leftist is hypocrisy.
They can say what they want, then do the opposite.
For example, Hollywood elites hate guns.
But many of them travel with armed security.
And their award shows feature scores of armed guards.
The implication is that their lives are more important than the common American.
It’s okay to have guns if you can afford around-the-clock security.
If not, you don’t have the right to defend yourself.
Leftists don’t understand that many Americans live differently.
Some people live in areas where they have no choice but to defend themselves.
Leftists couldn’t care less.
