Stephen Colbert is probably one of Hollywood’s biggest anti-President Trump irritants.
The host of CBS’ The Late Show criticizes Trump every single night during his opening monologue. It is literally the liberal’s biggest anti-Trump show.
And what one of Colbert’s writers said about Kavanaugh will make your jaw drop because of how disgusting it was.
Stephen Colbert feeds a toxic liberal anti-Trump atmosphere with his show.
Stephen Colbert feeds a toxic liberal anti-Trump atmosphere
Every night you can expect vitriol towards our duly elected president.
The liberals hate him and refuse to acknowledge his accomplishments.
One of his biggest is the fact that Trump has gotten two Justices on the Supreme Court with Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch.
Calling Kavanaugh’s hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee contentious would be an understatement.
Three different women accused the now-Supreme Court Justice of sexual assault.
It was the same old he said/she said hearsay where nothing Dr. Christine Blasey Ford said was corroborated.
Liberals believed her, of course, because they don’t want another one of Trump’s picks on the Supreme Court.
But what one of Colbert’s writers, Ariel Dumas, said on Twitter shows you just how much of a political ploy all of this was to destroy Kavanaugh’s name.
The tweet has been deleted but Dumas simply said, “Whatever happens, I’m just glad we ruined Brett Kavanaugh’s life.”
Dumas simply said, “Whatever happens, I’m just glad we ruined Brett Kavanaugh’s life.”
That is completely insane.
They really do hate Republicans that much to say something like that.
The Late Show writer then offered up a sorry excuse of an apology.
Dumas said, “The last couple of weeks have been hard for the country and for me personally. The complexity of frustration, anger and sadness can’t be accurately conveyed on twitter, and I regret my tone-deaf attempt at sarcasm in the wake of it.”
If she thinks that the last couple of weeks have been hard for her, imagine how Brett Kavanaugh and his family feel.
How is that sarcasm?
It’s not exactly sarcasm if they truly mean it. That’s the complete opposite of what she meant.
But Dumas is a “writer” so she should know that.
It doesn’t seem like CBS or Colbert will punish her for this hateful tweet.
This seems like something that is right up Colbert’s alley.
He’s been a staunch anti-conservative critic since his Comedy Central days as a Daily Show correspondent and later as the host of The Colbert Report.
Colbert made a career out of his parodying of a Bill O’Reilly-type conservative show anchor.

Now, as the host of The Late Show, he’s able to talk about how he truly feels without the façade of a fake host persona.
He admitted later that his “Colbert” Report persona was, “The question was, why am I, Stephen Colbert — white, male, straight, Christian, American–a hegemonic figure? In my life, I don’t just mean in character.”
Apparently, there is something wrong with being a Caucasian straight Christian male.
It’s an abomination.
And you’re not allowed to be proud of it either.
You can’t believe what you believe or be who you are because it’s “offensive,” to others.
Ariel Dumas’ tweet wasn’t a joke. It was clear that the Democrats wanted to destroy Kavanaugh and his family.
