Saying we’re officially in uncharted territory amid self-quarantining and social distancing would be a massive understatement. It’s a scary situation we’ve abruptly found ourselves in.
But ironically, one thing that is weirder than the global scale of a pandemic is how controversial former athlete and actor, O.J. Simpson, has joined social media after his prison release to spew bizarre absurdities on everything, while being completely blind to his infamous reputation.
And now O.J. Simpson just said the most idiotic thing imaginable about the coronavirus.
O.J. Simpson is on Twitter and it’s nearly incomprehensible that it’s even allowed. Granted, the former Buffalo Bills running back was ultimately found not guilty on both counts of first-degree murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, but the majority of the population has never been surer about the controversial outcome of the verdict.
Somewhat ironically, Simpson spent about 9 years in prison for his 2008 Las Vegas robbery where he held a memorabilia dealer at gunpoint for allegedly stealing his “personal property.”
He was sentenced to 32 years but was released in October 1st, 2017.
When prisoners are released, especially after growing accustomed to that way of life over many years, it usually takes a while for them to acclimate themselves to civilian life again.
But not O.J. Simpson. In a short time following his release, Simpson thought it would be a good idea to join Twitter for some insane reason. Most people thought it was a joke, but they were wrong. It was really him. https://offthewire.com/o-j-simpson-is-back-posting-weird-videos-again-and-one-of-them-proves-hes-into-politics/
Simpson largely posts about football, Hollywood and politics. Seemingly, it’s any old thing that pops into his head, he feels the need to share it. https://offthewire.com/o-j-simpson-is-back-posting-weird-videos-again-and-one-of-them-proves-hes-into-politics/
But amid the coronavirus outbreak where most industries are shutting down as a precaution, Simpson posted a video on Twitter begging for golf courses to remain open amid the global pandemic.
The video showed Simpson on the golf course, which is where he usually is when posting anything on the social media platform, saying, “You don’t really get that close to one another on a golf course. And, I think for some of the older guys that golf as their only exercise, I think it’s gonna hurt them if you start closing all the golf courses.”
He must not be aware that nearly every business is closing except for what has been deemed essential like grocery stores, take-out food, hospitals and urgent cares. So, yes, “it’s gonna hurt” literally every business.
Simpson added, “I’m just saying, and if you do close them, you better open up some insane asylum, get me a bed because I know if I can’t play golf for the next month, I’m a go crazy.”
Here’s the whole video:

Simpson (@TheRealOJ32) <a href=”https://twitter.com/TheRealOJ32/status/1240392353795444738?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>March 18, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src=”https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>
First of all, when he says, “I’m a go crazy,” just how “crazy” are we talking about? Because if you remember all of the evidence presented during the infamous trial of the century in the 1990s then you have a good idea of what “crazy” entails for him.
Let’s say he really was not guilty of the double murder, which in the eyes of the state of California he is innocent of, he still committed a robbery at gun point. That’s still too “crazy.”
As the Joker says to Batman in “The Dark Knight” when he’s holding Rachel out of a skyscraper window, when the caped crusader screams at him “Let her go!” the Joker responds, “Poor choice of words.”
