The 2021 NFL season might get off to a terrible start.
League officials are praying for a rebound season after last year’s subpar ratings.
But an NFL player just exposed one absurd league policy that could ruin the season.
COVID-19 restrictions have devastated the country for 18 months, and professional sports leagues are one of the areas that have been greatly affected.
The vaccine was supposed to be the ticket to a return to normalcy, but somehow the COVID tyranny has gotten worse.
Politicians and public health officials are reluctant to give up power that they’ve assumed during the pandemic, so the restrictions on freedom are only increasing.
In the NFL, players who have chosen not to get the vaccine are intentionally being made to be miserable.
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley has been one of the most outspoken regarding the crackdowns.
He and other prominent players have even contemplated retirement over the burdensome restrictions.
Beasley came to the defense of teammate Isaiah McKenzie, who is also unvaccinated.
McKenzie was put on the COVID suspension list for being caught at the team facility without a mask.
Beasley, too, was sent home for being around a fully-vaccinated player who tested positive for COVID; Beasley himself continues to test negative.
Don’t worry they got me too. But I was wearing a mask when I was in close contact with fully vaxxed trainer who tested positive and still got sent home. So what’s the point of the mask anyways? Meanwhile I’m here still testing negative and can’t come back. Make it make sense. https://t.co/VGzoy0ljb4

Beasley’s statement of “make it make sense” encapsulates the capriciousness of the rules.
The bottom line is that the COVID hysterics have created a two-tiered system, so logic goes out the window.
Worse yet, the letter sent to McKenzie was filled with Stalinist language.
The NFL wrote:
“On August 25, 2021, at approximately 2:15 p.m., while walking through the indoor fieldhouse and into the training room, you failed to wear a mask. Then at approximately 4:35 p.m. on August 25, for several minutes, you again failed to wear a mask in the meeting area while gathered near other players after the offensive meeting. For players like you who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19, like you, your conduct is expressly prohibited by the Protocol. Again, your conduct potentially compromised not only your own safety, but also the safety of others, as well as the league’s ability to ensure that your club’s training camp is conducted in a safe matter.”
There are snitches reporting to officials about people who don’t adhere to “the Protocol.”
If this level of COVID mania continues, the NFL season could quickly go off the rails.
