Joe Biden is ruining the country with his unconstitutional vaccine mandate.
Even professional athletes have been forced to comply.
But one NBA player who stood up to Biden’s insane mandate just made a huge announcement.
Democrats and public health officials do not want to relinquish the emergency powers they have seized since the beginning of the pandemic.
Americans are ready to resume their normal lives, but the COVID regime will not let them.
Not even multimillionaire athletes are exempted from the tyranny.
Thanks to a vaccine mandate in New York City, Brooklyn Nets star point guard Kyrie Irving was barred from playing or practicing with the team within city limits.
He was eligible to play road games in cities that did not have mandates, but the Nets decided to shut him down instead.
But in the face of rampant COVID suspensions and heavy minutes piling up for the Nets’ frontline stars, the team crawled back to Irving and accepted his deal of playing road games.
Nets general manager Sean Marks said:
“After discussions with our coaches, players and staff, the organization has decided to have Kyrie Irving re-join the team for games and practices in which he is eligible to participate. We arrived at this decision with the full support of our players and after careful consideration of our current circumstances, including players missing games due to injuries and health and safety protocols. We believe that the addition of Kyrie will not only make us a better team but allow us to more optimally balance the physical demand on the entire roster. We look forward to Kyrie’s return to the lineup, as well as getting our entire roster back together on the court.”
Irving was viciously attacked by the so-called mainstream media for his brave stance against mandatory vaccination.
Now that Irving is back, the haters have not gone away.
Skip Bayless said on Fox Sports:
“To me, that’s shameful…The crushing irony of this whole development is that he betrayed this team over COVID, and then they crawled back to him because of COVID. And so the very thing he refused to protect himself and his team against, has now wrecked the whole basketball team to the point they said ‘we got no other choice, we gotta ask him to come back.’”
This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Irving was away from the fully vaccinated team, yet the Nets were still hit with COVID cases.
That reality completely undercuts the narrative of the COVID hysterics.
Bayless continued on that flawed line of thinking:
“As a society, we’re up against a variant that is the most contagious yet, by far. Maybe not the deadliest, but most contagious. And Kyrie is unvaccinated … he will be an enormous threat to their team. Which is why he’ll have to be tested every day, and kept in all kinds of mask protocols … He’s going to be a huge threat while he also can be a godsend.”
People who have been vaccinated can clearly spread the virus, as evidenced by the Nets’ outbreak.
And natural immunity has been proven to be better than vaccine immunity, so if people get the milder Omicron strain, that’s a much better scenario than their catching Delta or an earlier strain.
Irving’s principled stand helped expose the speciousness of the entire COVID regime.
