Professional sports have gone entirely woke.
The NBA is one of the worst culprits of the new political phenomenon.
But an NBA player put LeBron James to shame with one bold move.
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has become the leader ambassador for the NBA.
And James’s position in that role has been characterized as subservience to the Chinese Communist Party.
James and other American athletes are quick to tear down America, but have little to say on the human rights abuses in China.
However, Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter refuses to toe the company line.
The Turkish-born Kanter has been very outspoken against the CCP, so much so that he’s changing his last name to Freedom.
Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter is legally changing his name to Enes Kanter Freedom, @TheAthletic @Stadium learned. Kanter will be his middle name, Freedom is his new last name. He becomes a U.S. citizen on Monday.

Kanter has also been a consistent critic of James for his silence on the atrocities committed by China.
The NBA and Nike are entirely beholden to the Chinese market, so James will never say a negative word about China.
Money over Morals for the “King” 👑
Sad & disgusting how these athletes pretend they care about social justice
They really do “shut up & dribble” when Big Boss 🇨🇳 says so

When former Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey expressed benign support for pro-freedom protesters in Hong Kong, James and other CCP shills in the league chastised Morey.
James was finally asked about Kanter’s words, and he said:
“I don’t really give too many people my energy. And he’s definitely not someone I will give my energy to. Trying to use my name to create an opportunity for himself. Definitely won’t comment too much on that, if any, and that will be where I lay that at.”
James essentially dodged all of Kanter’s points and accused him of looking for fame.
If Kanter simply craved the spotlight, he would’ve bent the knee to China and joined the chorus of celebrities receiving praise for trashing America.
Instead, Kanter said America is “the greatest country in the world.”
Kanter’s family has lived under the thumb of Turkish dictator Recep Tayyip Erdogan, so he has far more perspective than James and other coddled athletes.
