Liberals groaned with the force of a thousand suns when they discovered President Donald Trump would attend Game 5 of the World Series between the Houston Astros and the Washington Nationals. His appearance was met with boos and chants from the Nationals fans.
The series was tied 2-2 going into Game 5 of the World Series with both teams surprisingly winning games on the opponent’s home field. The Nationals took the first two and the Astros took the second two.
And the Washington Nationals probably tapped a Trump-hater to throw out the first pitch of Game 5.
Well, if you thought President Trump was going to get a warm welcome at Game 5 of the World Series in Washington, D.C. then you are going to be disappointed. The overwhelming crowd of Nationals fans, considering its home field, started chanting “LOCK HIM UP! LOCK HIM UP!” at Trump.

Of course, this is a reference to the “LOCK HER UP! LOCK HER UP!” chants towards Hillary Clinton for the scandal over her emails and how she dropped the ball in Benghazi, which consequently resulted in the deaths of Americans on that fateful night.
But the Washington Nationals may have pulled a fast one on the president in preparation for his appearance at Game 5.
The Nationals tapped local celebrity chef Jose Andres, who has been a vocal critic of Trump for years, to throw out the first pitch while he was in attendance.
Andres is notorious in the D.C. area for being a renowned local chef. You already may know him because he created the World Central Kitchen, which donated thousands of meals to victims of hurricane disasters in both Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.
Andres posted on social media that he was “humbled by the invitation” and also added, “I really hope that by Saturday night all of WASHINGTON will be celebrating that the @Nationals are the 2019 @MLB World Series Champions.”
I’m humbled by the invitation, and I realize is a big big big honor but I really hope that by Saturday night all of WASHINGTON will be celebrating that the @Nationals are the 2019 @MLB World Series Champions…🙏😘😘👨🍳⚾️🏆 https://t.co/V6EvP9L7Lr

He made no mention of Trump nor did he badmouth the president prior to throwing out the first pitch.
It may have been a subtle wink between the Nationals and Chef Andres agreeing not to say anything but let the action speak volumes.
A pair of celebrity chefs, José Andrés and David Chang, recently took aim at Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, who also owns high-end fitness companies like SoulCycle and Equinox. They urged Ross to cancel an event he hosted in the Hamptons raising money for Trump’s re-election campaign.
Andres posted this message on Twitter:
I respect a person’s right to politically support who he chooses but these are not normal times!. So I ask u Steve Ross to use your conscience! Cancel this fundraiser for @realDonaldTrump You are a good man.Don’t support a candidate whose goal is to drive my beloved USA apart! 🙏 pic.twitter.com/mTMhCZsmzl

Andres has also taunted Trump on immigration issues. He also famously canceled a deal with Trump’s D.C. hotel over disagreeing with him on immigration.
So why did the Nationals tap this chef to throw out the first pitch knowing Trump would attend the game?
The answer seems pretty obvious.
