American culture is under constant assault from the secular left.
Even sports organizations have adopted left-wing messaging.
And NASCAR got torched by fans after promoting one message.
NASCAR, like so many American institutions, has gradually drifted toward the left.
When driver Brandon Brown signed a deal with a cryptocurrency company to promote LGB Coin, NASCAR blocked him from putting the advertisement on his car.
LGB stands for “Let’s Go, Brandon,” which became a euphemism for “f*ck Joe Biden” after Brown won a race, and the NBC Sports reporter interviewing him in the winner’s circle misinterpreted the crowd’s cursing of Biden.
Now NASCAR’s official Twitter account promoted the message “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas.”

The left’s insistence on the phrase “Happy Holidays” in lieu of “Merry Christmas” has been part of a years-long project to secularize American culture under the banner of so-called inclusivity.
But Christmastime is part of American culture, and Christmas is an American holiday, which includes even those who do not celebrate it.
Many Twitter users called out NASCAR for the subtle left-wing messaging.
One person responded, “I think what you meant to say was ‘Merry CHRISTmas’!!!”
Another wrote, “I remember when NASCAR used to say Merry Christmas.”
One fan replied, “Screw that! MERRY CHRISTMAS!”
A separate commenter said, “Merry Christmas to all my NASCAR Libs who manage this account.”
Finally, another user added, “It’s Merry Christmas- Sincerely, A Muslim.”
The last comment is particularly important.
Christmas is an American holiday, which makes it inclusive even for Americans of different faiths, or no faith.
Conservative commentator Dennis Prager explained how the secular left has made it a cultural faux pas to wish someone Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays.
If that seems hard to believe, liberal comedian and writer Whitney Cummings was the subject of an HR complaint when she was the executive producer on a television show.
Cummings’s “crime” was wishing one of her employees a Merry Christmas.
Cummings explained in an interview with Conan O’Brien, “I was working on a TV show, got in trouble with human resources for saying ‘Merry Christmas’ to an intern…I was leaving…I was like, ‘bye, guys. Merry Christmas.’ Like just a formality, what you would say…I come back, like, June 6th. HR calls me and they’re like, ‘Hey, we need to talk to you. One of the interns is pissed off that you said ‘Merry Christmas.'”
The HR manager informed Cummings that the intern was “agnostic.”
Cummings continued, “I should not know who believes in God and who doesn’t…I also can’t guess either, you know?”
This is how leftists move.
They gradually seed their ideology into the culture until a turn happens where it becomes a social—or even legal—violation to resist it.
It might seem like a trivial thing that NASCAR would write Happy Holidays, but it’s a sign of left-wing cultural hegemony taking root.
The intern that made the HR complaint was probably a few years too early.
If leftists get their way, wishing someone Merry Christmas will be a fireable offense.
