Joe Biden and the Democrats have made a huge mess of the country.
Biden’s approval ratings are in the dumpster with good reason.
Now Major League Baseball fans want Biden to apologize for one huge blunder.
The Democrats have gone completely overboard in their fear-mongering about voter suppression and GOP attempts to “subvert American democracy.”
They’re not at all concerned about election integrity, but rather ensuring that election laws are as porous as possible.
That’s why they vehemently oppose simple security measures such as voter ID.
And after Republican legislators in Georgia passed a law requiring ID and rolling back some of the emergency election procedures that were implemented because of COVID, Democrats threw a hissy fit.
Joe Biden went so far as to say the commonsense law was “Jim Crow 2.0.”
Suddenly Democrats called for businesses to boycott the state of Georgia.
A handful of film productions left, and Major League Baseball moved its all-star game from Atlanta to Denver, Colorado, coincidentally a state with tighter election laws.
And a great number of people believe that Biden and the MLB owe Georgia an apology.
“Nearly a majority of voters believe President Biden and Major League Baseball (MLB) should apologize to Georgia for targeting the state over its election integrity legislation, which actually increased voter turnout…According to Rasmussen Reports’ survey, 56 percent disagree with President Biden referring to the legislation as ‘Jim Crow 2.0,’ and a plurality, 48 percent, said Biden should apologize to Georgia — a sentiment held by most Republicans, 75 percent, and a plurality of independents — 47 percent. Notably, a plurality of black voters, 38 percent, also believe Biden should apologize to Georgia.”
Local Atlanta businesses were hit particularly hard.
They lost an estimated $100 million in expected revenue from the all-star game festivities.
After the Democrats’ gambit blew up in their faces, Stacey Abrams and Senator Raphael Warnock both distanced themselves from the failed boycott.
USA Today even edited an op-ed written by Abrams in order to downplay her support for the boycott.
Abrams has also flip-flopped on voter ID, something that is even supported by 62% of Democrats.
In reality, Georgia’s new voting laws not only increased voter turnout, but they’re less restrictive than laws in New York, Connecticut, and Biden’s home state of Delaware.
For example, voters are still permitted to vote absentee for any reason in Georgia, and voting precinct hours have been extended.
The Democrats’ issue is that people are being asked to have an ID, which has caused them to trot out absurd arguments such as it’s too difficult for Georgians to acquire a government ID.
The left’s propaganda about voter ID is failing, which is why they are intensifying the rhetoric.
Democrats have argued democracy itself will end if they are not allowed to nationalize election laws.
The so-called defenders of democratic norms are going out of their way to destroy said norms, all in the pursuit of power.
