We should all be wondering why former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama can’t just stay out of the spotlight.
Following a disastrous presidency, the Obamas have signed multimillion-dollar book deals, partnered with Netflix, and charge outrageous amounts to be guest speakers.
And now former First Lady Michelle Obama is back in the spotlight again after urging D.C. area residents to stay home despite this glaring hypocrisy from her husband, Barack.
How many times do we need to hear obnoxious whining from some of Hollywood’s most powerful celebrities about being quarantined in their multimillion-dollar mansions overlooking the shores of Malibu Beach?
You would think they would be consciously aware of their tone-deafness – how it would appear to hardworking Americans unemployed or underemployed who are waiting out this deadly global Chinese coronavirus in their 550 square foot apartment.
These celebrities don’t get it. They think the world needs to hear from them around the clock because we’ll be lost without them. That’s how they operate.
Celebrities like Larry David from “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks, former pop star Madonna and “Luther” actor Idris Elba, are amongst the many Hollywood elitists urging you to stay home.
Now you can add former First Lady Michelle Obama to that list after she urged Washington, D.C. area residents to stay home.
She released a statement last week saying, “Remember, we urge you to stay home except if you need essential healthcare, essential food or supplies or to go to your essential job.”
But while Michelle urges people to stay home, her husband and former President of the United States Barack Obama, was playing golf over the weekend.
On Sunday, Politico shared a photo of former President Barack Obama playing golf. He’s a member of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia, where some golf courses remain open, despite Maryland and Washington, DC, closing their facilities.
Fox News’ Tucker Carlson called out the Obamas saying, “It didn’t seem to occur to her that those standards might also apply to her family. And that’s why she didn’t mention essential trips to your country club.”
No, of course that occurred to her but like many other Hollywood elitists, the Obamas share the same God-complex.
In the meantime, Netflix is about to drop a sister companion documentary to her memoire “Becoming,” which will carry the same title.
The film chronicles her 34-city book tour
Directed by Nadia Hallgren, the film documented the former first lady as she went around the country speaking at community events and fielding questions from everyday Americans – sharing what she learned after her husband’s two terms in the White House.
At one point, Michelle ponders why President Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2016 General Elections.
Michelle noted, “So, the day I left the White House, and I write about how painful it was to sit on that [inauguration] stage. A lot of our folks didn’t vote. It was almost like a slap in the face. I understand the people who voted for Trump. The people who didn’t vote at all, the young people, the women, that’s when you think, man, people think this is a game.”
Isn’t it funny how they always deflect blame? It’s not Hillary’s terrible campaign or how her husband trashed America’s worldwide reputation. The supposed voters that didn’t turn out to vote is the reason for the Democrats’ loss.
Also, that “slap in the face” is what her husband did to millions of Americans for eight years so it’s ironic she’s accusing working class Americans for not voting for a Democrat who would’ve effectively been eight more years of President Barack Obama.
