The United States women’s national team took the world stage by storm, irritating other nations with their self-righteous, arrogant attitudes, but they also angered millions of Americans when Captain Megan Rapinoe said some unpleasant things regarding the current political climate.
A sports journalist asked Rapinoe if she would visit President Trump’s White House if they won the World Cup and she said, “I’m not going to the f—king White House.”
And while Rapinoe continued to show how anti-American she is throughout the tournament by refusing to sing the national anthem, she leveled up and continued her disgusting tactics during the World Cup Parade.
The United States women’s national team created quite a controversial stir on a global scale during the World Cup.
Aside from Captain Megan Rapinoe instigating the controversy initially with her “I’m not going to the f—king White House,” comment, she also refused to sing during the National Anthem. Instead of kneeling, her protest was refusing tossing.
However, Rapinoe has been known to kneel during the national anthem before her Major League Soccer Reign FC games.
Most of the controversy surrounding the team wasn’t their comments; it was their actions. It was the overzealous celebrations they had.
The USWNT destroyed Thailand 13-0 in their first game of the World Cup and they celebrated after every goal. It was a gross way of rubbing it in.
Then there was that famous Rapinoe image after she scored a header goal against France. You know the image.
In the next game, Captain Rapinoe sat out of the game with a hamstring injury but that didn’t stop Alex Morgan from pantomiming drinking tea after she scored a goal against England in the semi-finals, which made millions of British people angry.
And now that the USWNT won the World Cup, they have been partying and going to parades in their honor.
During the parade in New York, Rapinoe crossed the line again.
Megan Rapinoe smirked and refused to put her hand over her heart when the national anthem played during the World Cup victory parade in New York on Wednesday.
The title-winning team stood as the parade down Manhattan’s Canyon of Heroes started, and most of Rapinoe’s teammates placed their hands over their hearts and sang “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
But just as she did while in France over the last month during the Women’s World Cup games, Rapinoe stood defiantly with her hands clasped behind her back and a wide smirk across her face.

This is Rapinoe’s modus operandi. She behaves like this frequently and will say whatever comes across her mind at the moment.
In May, Rapinoe said, “I’ll probably never put my hand over my heart. I’ll probably never sing the National Anthem again.”
That’s a little odd because it seems her anger and frustration stems from her hatred towards President Trump and his administration.
When the USWNT won the World Cup in 2015, former President Barack Obama also invited the team to the White House and Rapinoe had no problem attending the festivities at that point.
So to say she’ll “never sing the National Anthem again,” is extreme.
