The Hollywood elitists ridicule Supreme Court Justice nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, every single day.
It all started a couple of weeks ago when Dr. Christine Blasey Ford accused him of sexual assault thirty six years ago when they were both in high school.
And one Hollywood elitist, Matt Damon, just proved he’s the biggest hypocrite of all of them with this one anti-Kavanaugh move.
Matt Damon is one of the “darlings” of the Hollywood industry.
Matt Damon is one of the “darlings” of the Hollywood industry
The superstar A-lister is known for films like Good Will Hunting, The Bourne Identity, The Departed and The Martian.
He also just recently portrayed President Trump’s handpicked choice for the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh, in a recent Saturday Night Live opening sketch.
But when you hear what Damon said about disgraced super producer, Harvey Weinstein, you’d realize he’s just an enormous hypocrite.
In an October 23rd interview with Good Morning America, Damon admitted that he and co-star/writer Ben Affleck were aware that Weinstein sexually harassed Gwyneth Paltrow.
Damon said, “I knew the story about Gwyneth from Ben because he was with her after [her relationship with] Brad [Pitt}. I never talked to Gwyneth about it. Ben told me. But I knew that they had come to whatever agreement or understanding that they had come to. She had handled it, and she was the first lady of Miramax. And he treated her incredibly respectfully, always.”
So why didn’t he do anything about it?
Was it because Weinstein took care of them both?
They felt obligated to keep it under wraps?
It certainly seems that way.
But this didn’t stop with Paltrow.
Harvey Weinstein had a long history of this.
They had to have known about all of Weinstein’s alleged sexual predation.
Amid the Me Too Movement Hollywood scandal, Damon audaciously claimed that there was a “spectrum of behavior,” when it came to sexual misconduct.
Damon audaciously claimed that there was a “spectrum of behavior,”
He made a point that there was a difference between patting a person on their butt versus sexual assault.
That’s shortsighted.
He knew it too.
Exactly a month later, he told Kathie Lee Gifford on the Today show, “I really wish I’d listened a lot more before I weighed in on this.”
That’s an eye-opening saying.
Think about it, he literally said he knew about Paltrow’s sexual harassment and did nothing about it.
He never spoke up. Damon didn’t confront Weinstein.
It’s hard to say he wasn’t part of the problem.
Furthermore, Damon said, “I don’t want to further anybody’s pain with anything that I do or say. So for that I am really sorry.”
Now, it’s hard to go back to what he said originally that he wished he had “listened” more.
No, the point is that he didn’t listen at all. Damon didn’t care.
And, last Saturday, he went on SNL and made fun of Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
He did this as if he was immune from criticism.
It’s ironic actually.
Damon defended those that accused and were accused.
In America, we should have a notion of “innocent until proven guilty.”
In America, we should have a notion of “innocent until proven guilty.”
In today’s times, however, it’s the complete opposite.
Damon made a mockery out of Kavanaugh like he was the guiltiest person in the entire world.
The SNL writers wanted Damon for some unknown reason other than the fact that he – maybe, sort of – looks like him?
Are they aware of Damon’s defense of Harvey Weinstein who is on trial for several rapes?
This is liberal hypocrisy at its absolute finest.
