Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have been in the spotlight for months now due to the college admissions scandal, which was a nationwide probe from the FBI.
There were fifty others charged but outside of maybe Felicity Huffman, Lori Loughlin is by far the most famous of any of the others because of her role on “Full House.”
And now it’s being reported that Lori Loughlin’s marriage to Mossimo Giannulli is on the rocks due to their upcoming trial.
It certainly seems like Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli’s lives are falling apart but, to be fair, you probably would be too if you were facing forty years in prison. On the other hand, they’ve got a bit of reap what you sow and buyer’s remorse—pun intended. That’s what you get when you bribe the University of Southern California for $500,000 so they would admit their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella.
After rejecting the initial plead deal the federal prosecutors offered the couple, they added a money laundering charge on top of the mail fraud.
It’s been a bit of a schizophrenic rollercoaster since that fateful day they were formally charged with the aforementioned, which could land them in prison effectively for the rest of their lives.
They go back and forth between being willing to fight it and accepting the plea deal. Sometimes they’re confident in their case while other times they’re not. And that seems to be the case with Loughlin and Giannulli, allegedly putting their relationship on shaky grounds.
US Weekly reported that the couple feuded over whether to take a private jet to the federal courtroom in Boston (they are Los Angeles residents).
A source told the magazine, “The couple was advised by their lawyers not to,” presumably for optics reasons. How would it look if you were to arrogantly charter a private jet to your court appearance? Seems a little tone-deaf doesn’t it?
The sourced added, “But Mossimo insisted [on taking a private jet], saying it would be a ‘zoo’ if they flew commercial.”
It’s almost always a zoo at an airport for anybody, isn’t it? They should really get over their self-importance but that’s how Hollywood elitists live in their bubble lives.
That’s not the total reason for the relationship being on the rocks, but it apparently boils down to some of her friends insisting that she leave Giannulli altogether.
The reason being is because Loughlin allegedly wanted to take the federal prosecutors’ plea deal in April but a source said, “Lori was inclined to take the deal, but Mossimo said it would ruin both of their careers.”
A source familiar with the case recently told Page Six that Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded not guilty before they fully understood the severity of the charges – and now realize taking a plea deal might have been better.
Another source said, “Her friends think she should leave him. But Lori refuses and says the ordeal has made them stronger.”
But a different source added, “Their daughter Bella is extremely concerned they’re going to get divorced.”
It’s pretty clear nobody knows anything about what’s really going on and nobody should be surprised if all these “sources” and “reports” about the inner workings of what they’re going through are by design – a sad desperate attempt to gain sympathy from the public and prosecutors.
