Hollywood is jamming left-wing commentary down everyone’s throat.
People just want to be entertained without a ham-fisted political message.
And a liberal comic made one joke about a Disney show that the left won’t like.
Hollywood has leaned left for decades, the political tilt got significantly worse after the election of Donald Trump in 2016.
His victory gave leftists in the entertainment industry the greenlight to be full-on activists with their storytelling.
Disney has particularly gotten bad with its political messaging.
The company’s war with Florida governor Ron DeSantis is a prime example of that.
But even people on the left are beginning to poke fun at “wokeness.”
Late-night comedian Conan O’Brien tweeted a joke that lightly ribbed leftists, and they didn’t like it one bit.
O’Brien tweeted—then deleted—the joke, “Just learned the full title is ‘She/Her-Hulk.’”

The tweet was in reference to the Marvel television show She-Hulk, and played on the new far-left craze of people stating their gender pronouns: he/him, she/her/ they/them, etc…
It was a tame joke, but radical leftists take gender pronouns very seriously.
They have argued that not affirming preferred pronouns is literally a form of violence against the LGBTQ+ community.
One leftist user tweeted, “Conan O’Brien tweeted a joke about She-Hulk, saying the full title was “She/Her-Hulk. a bunch of right wingers were defending the joke after people rightfully called out how insensitive it was.”
Leftists cannot handle “insensitive” jokes at their expense.
That’s one of the reasons why comedy has taken such a big hit.
The comedic world has essentially split into two camps: woke versus unwoke.
For example, comedian Bill Burr is a liberal from Boston, but because he refuses to toe the line of political correctness, he is put in the unwoke category and is considered “right-wing” by the deranged leftists.
O’Brien’s joke about She-Hulk was appropriate because the show is obnoxiously “progressive.”
The tell-tale sign of a far-left show is when media outlets immediately dismiss any criticism of the show as “racist” or “misogynist” or whatever.
Mark Ruffalo, an open socialist who plays The Hulk in The Avengers franchise, came to the defense of the show amid bad reviews.
Ruffalo shared an article from Screen Rant that argued, “The rise in bad-faith IMDb reviews, particularly for projects led by women and/or BIPOC, threatens to render the site’s scores meaningless if the problem is not addressed.”
A bad “woke” show can never just be bad; there must be some political angle.
For example, Marvel’s WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which had a female and black lead respectively, did not draw the ire of comic book fans.
However, She-Hulk is a complete mess that features twerking and feminist rants.
No wonder comic book fans don’t like it.
At some point, the left will have to accept that some of this overtly political fare is simply not going to resonate with a majority of people.
