Liberals in Hollywood are becoming increasingly belligerent.
An industry dominated by leftists has been icy toward conservative actors and filmmakers for decades.
But now one conservative film is under direct attack from raving-mad leftists in the business.
The election of Donald Trump rattled leftists to their core. They couldn’t fathom someone putting a stop to the ever-expanding leviathan of big government they worship so much.
That dissonance has resulted in leftists contracting full-blown Trump Derangement Syndrome. He’s taken permanent residence in their psyche.
This is particularly present in Hollywood where leftism has run amok.
A parade of actors, directors, writers, and comedians have raged non-stop against Trump, Republicans, and basically anyone who dares challenge left-wing orthodoxy.
Aside from a handful of prominent conservatives like Clint Eastwood, Tim Allen, or Jon Voight, almost all right-leaning people in the industry must operate in silence.
There is a tacit censorship that has existed for a long time, but now the left’s anger is openly manifesting itself in fascistic behavior.
Conservative filmmaker Nick Loeb is producing and directing a film about the controversial Roe v. Wade from a pro-life perspective, and leftists are doing their damnedest to stop him.
Loeb had to finance the film in secret, and even generated a fake synopsis to keep liberals from finding out about the project. Nevertheless, word got out, and the left is on a crusade to stop the film.
Several liberals walked off the project once they discovered the subject matter, and recently a reporter from the far-left website “The Daily Beast” snuck onto the set and harassed cast and crew members.
Loeb said of reporter Will Sommer:
“He snuck onto the set. Ran on, actually…He started writing down the dialogue our actors were speaking. One of our volunteer interns took a sheet of paper the reporter was writing on and told him he wasn’t allowed to use our copyrighted material.”
Actors Corbin Bernsen and Wade Williams, both playing Supreme Court justices who heard the landmark case, corroborated accounts that Sommer was unruly.
“The reporter was right there, copying down my lines,” Williams said.
Sommer was even afforded the chance to interview Bernsen to ease tension. Loeb continued:
“He wouldn’t leave us alone, so Corbin did us a favor. Corbin was like, ‘Hey, I’m in the middle. I’m pro-choice.’”
Co-director Cathy Allyn also described how Sommer actively sabotaged the film:
“He just charged on set and started tailing Wade Williams and jotting down all of his lines. He made a scene in the middle of a take, screaming obscenities.”
Hollywood constantly churns out movies told from a left-wing perspective, rewriting history in the process. They’re allowed to make movies and televisions shows that push a gun control narrative or an anti-military narrative or an anti-Christian narrative.
But one pro-life movie goes into production, and the left becomes apoplectic. The pro-life position is something roughly half the country believes, so a movie told from that perspective shouldn’t be controversial.
However, the left must have total control of all messaging. Any counter-narratives must be silenced or dismissed.
Conservative writer and commentator David Horowitz aptly said, “Inside every liberal is a totalitarian screaming to get out.”
The left’s fascistic actions prove him right time and time again.
The great irony of the Roe v. Wade decision is that Norma McCorvey, the woman at the centerpiece of the case, became a staunch pro-life advocate.
This is a fact that has gone ignored by the left, and they’re trying like mad to make sure the upcoming film doesn’t get the chance to mention it.
