LeBron James continues to double down on politics.
The NBA has suffered a massive decline in viewership because stars in the league refuse to stick to sports.
Now James is pushing one anti-police protest that has the NBA worried.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver tried to course-correct after the league’s “bubble” playoffs drew pitiable ratings.
The Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat saw close to a 70% drop in viewership from the previous season.
One of the reasons why was the league’s over-the-top embrace of partisan politics and the unequivocal support for the Marxist Black Lives Matter movement.
Silver said the league would move away from the overt politicization, but LeBron James and other top stars aren’t interested in steering clear of politics.
James recently called George Floyd an “angel” and advocated for the Democrats’ George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.
“The man literally changed the world.”

The Left’s beatification of Floyd is unsettling, especially considering he spent years in prison for holding a gun to a pregnant woman’s belly during a home invasion.
Nancy Pelosi ghoulishly called his death a “sacrifice.”
Democrats only care about Floyd because they can make political hay with death, and athletes like James play directly into their hands.
Ever since the 2016 election, James has been vocal about politics, and not in a constructive way.
He stoked division by suggesting police officers are hunting black people, and he even threatened a police officer who saved a young woman’s life.
However, James is sadly correct that Floyd’s death “changed the world.”
Cynical politicians have milked every ounce they could out of the Floyd tragedy, and radical leftists have used Floyd to push their agenda to the mainstream.
Hollywood, corporate America, schools, and even churches have been bullied into getting on board the hard Left’s deceptive social justice agenda.
Thankfully some people are waking up to what the Left is doing.
Support for BLM, Inc. is lower than it was before Floyd’s death, and more local BLM leaders are calling out the organization for hoarding money.
As is almost always the case with socialist “revolutionaires,” they live high on the hog while everyone else suffers.
The NBA should not be swimming in these waters, but James seems determined to do so.
Meanwhile, James has nothing to say about Nike’s collaboration with the Chinese Communist Party, one of the worst human rights abusers on the planet.
If this NBA wants to reverse its trending of losing viewers, it needs to get back to being purely about basketball.
