Leftists have a long history of trying to destroy anyone who disagrees with them.
Shania Twain was forced to apologize for the “crime” of saying she would’ve voted for Donald Trump because she felt he was more honest than “Crooked” Hillary Clinton.
Now rap superstar Kanye West has stood up to the left-wing mob and made one comment that sent them into a panic.
West first raised eyebrows among the left when he said he would’ve voted for Trump, then recently he praised black conservative YouTube commentator Candace Owens.
But West went a bridge too far for liberals when he said during an interview that he loved Donald Trump.
From The Daily Wire:
Kanye West slammed former President Barack Obama for never following up on his promise to work with the rapper to help deliver on the much-lauded “change” he promised, and professed his “love” for the current president, says Hot 97 radio host Ebro Darden.
Darden spoke to Kanye on the heels of his pro-conservative Twitter posts, wherein he praised right-wing YouTuber and pundit Candace Owens and lamented the “thought police” suppressing freedom of thought.
Recounting his sit-down with the rapper, Darden said on his Monday show that Kanye revealed he supports Owens because “she’s challenging conventional black thought.”
He also told Darden about his apparent disappointment with former President Obama, whom he said he “reached out to … for years and couldn’t get anything done” with, unlike Trump, who “gave me a meeting.”
Kanye also reportedly told the host, “I do love Donald Trump.”
The rapper has had no shortage of shocking political moments. In 2005, while fundraising for Hurricane Katrina relief, Kanye infamously said live on-air, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”
President Obama reacted to the rapper’s Taylor-Swift-award-show drama by calling him a “jackass.”
In 2016, the performer took a meeting with then-president-elect Donald Trump at Trump Tower, yet again causing a stir.
He also told a crowd that he would have voted for Trump if he were to have voted. “I said something that was kind of politically correct. I told y’all I didn’t vote, right? What I didn’t tell you … if I were to have voted I would have voted on Trump,” he said. “That don’t mean that I don’t think that Black Lives Matter, that I don’t mean that I don’t think I believe in women’s rights … because that was the guy I would’ve voted for.”
Instead of engaging Kanye West on his concerns, especially considering he’s a Chicago native and saw firsthand the harm of Obama’s presidency, the left has decided to label him an “alt-right darling.”
The left is so threatened by anyone leaving their encampment, especially one from their “victimized” class, they must attack all apostates with extreme vitriol.
Liberals are always quick to denounce conservatives’ claims of mainstream media bias, but their denunciations lose credibility when alleged centrist papers of record like The Washington Post publish pieces like this:
“It’s easy to cast West as just another lost man seduced by the far right’s promise to provide a sense of purpose. All that pseudo-philosophy does suggest a preoccupation with the sort of existential problems figures such as psychologist Jordan Peterson, who has become a surprise lifestyle guru, claim they can solve. It’s also possible to connect West’s eccentric behavior on Twitter — this isn’t the first time his forays into politics have discomfited some fans — to the mental-health struggles that led to his 2017 hospitalization.”
A prominent figure disagrees with the left on something, therefore he must be alt-right and/or crazy.
That appears to be the definition of media bias.
