Riots are spawning all over the country amid the death of Minnesota native George Floyd.
What began as peaceful protests over Floyd’s death, mutated into violence and looting against innocent police officers and business owners, effectively diminishing the movement’s message.
And now disgraced former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is furthering his divisive tactics amid this chaos by announcing this major riot decision.
There are a lot of mixed messages going on in the streets of America right now. Minneapolis natives were outraged over the death of local native George Floyd and started taking out their frustration on the streets.
Amid these violent rioters is an array of “activists” with distinctly different agendas. If you don’t think that’s the case; in some cities there were predominantly white Black Lives Matter protesters protesting against predominantly African American police departments, all across the country.
It’s almost as if some of these people wait for rampant chaos to enact on their political agendas. Looting and violence against police officers is never the answer.
The jobless quarterback jumped on liberally biased Twitter to offer to pay legal fees and expenses for those arrested. He even shamelessly slipped in a link to solicit donations on behalf of these so-called “freedom fighters.”
Kaepernick wrote on Twitter, “In fighting for liberation there‘s always retaliation. We must protect our Freedom Fighters. We started a legal defense initiative to give legal representation to Freedom Fighters in Minneapolis paid for by @yourrightscamp.”
Know Your Rights Camp is a Kaepernick-owned legal fund that has already bankrolled legal services to those who have been charged with crimes.
It’s difficult not to state the obvious but “freedom fighters” is not what they are. In fact, it’s the complete opposite. The consequences of their actions have caused cities and local governments to implement area-wide curfews to de-escalate the tension. That’s quite literally the opposite of “freedom fighters.”
The Know Your Rights Camp released a statement saying they have “identified and teamed up with top defense lawyers in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area to provide legal resources for those in need. When there is an injustice within our community, it is our legal right to address it, by any means necessary.”
Any means necessary? That is dog whistling. You know that expression because liberals accuse President Trump of that all the time. This Kaepernick-owned Know Your Rights Camp is encouraging more violence by using those specific words.
The Know Your Rights Camp concluded in their statement, “If you, or a loved one is in need of legal assistance, or has been arrested while fighting injustice in the Minneapolis area, please complete the form below with as much detail as possible,”
On May 28th, Kaepernick wrote: When civility leads to death, revolting is the only logical reaction. The cries for peace will rain down, and when they do, they will land on deaf ears, because your violence has brought this resistance. We have the right to fight back! Rest in Power George Floyd.”
Kaepernick is stroking the fires with his comments and by setting up this legal fund. What’s to stop some of these violent rioters from continuing if they know Kaepernick will pay for all of their legal fees? That only encourages them to commit more violence.
