America is still suffering the consequences of mass Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Liberals literally let Donald Trump affect their mental health.
And this Hollywood conservative enraged the Left with one Trump comment.
Outspoken conservatives are few and far between in Hollywood.
Many have been forced to keep their views quiet for fear of backlash by the left-wing Tinseltown mafia.
One prominent Hollywood conservative is actor and comedian Tim Allen.
His sitcom “Last Man Standing” serves as a rare foil to the spate of leftist television shows.
The show was shockingly canceled despite strong ratings, which created speculation that it had to do with Allen’s politics and his lead character’s conservative worldview.
The show was brought back after a groundswell of support.
Allen again went against the grain by saying that he liked how Donald Trump “pissed people off.”
During an interview with comedian and podcast host Marc Maron, Allen opened up about his political views.
Allen said, “Once I realized the last president pissed people off, I kind of liked that…I never really preach anything…What I’ve done is that I don’t join into, what I call ‘we culture.’ I don’t tell anybody else how to live. I don’t like that ‘we should do this, we should do that.’”
Allen ruffled feathers back in 2017 after Trump’s inauguration when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show.
Allen told Kimmel, “This is like ‘30s Germany. I don’t know what happened. If you’re not part of the group: ‘You know what we believe is right,’ I go ‘Well, I might have a problem with that.’”
The problem has only gotten worse since then.
Allen’s conversation with Maron was particularly interesting because Maron is a dyed-in-the-wool liberal.
He was one of the hosts of Air America, a failed liberal attempt to combat Rush Limbaugh and the conservative domination of talk radio.
Maron famously interviewed Barack Obama, and has routinely railed against Trump.
Allen’s comment about Trump angering people—particularly Democrats—touched on his appeal.
Americans are sick and tired of the propaganda being spewed from the corporate press.
That’s why trust in cable news is at an all-time low.
It’s also partly why Trump supplanted Obama as the Most Admired Man.
Trump was far more popular than Democrats are willing to admit.
Despite the endless deluge of negativity, Trump got more celebrity endorsements than he did in 2016, and got the largest Republican share of the nonwhite vote in 60 years.
Gina Carano, who was recently fired from Disney’s “The Mandalorian,” showed that there are a lot of conservatives out there willing to support right-wingers.
If Carano’s upcoming film project is successful, that could serve as a landing spot for Republicans and conservatives to work if they get “canceled.”
As Hollywood drifts more and more “woke,” there will be opportunities for counter-narrative filmmaking because audiences are fed up with getting sermonized nonstop.
