The Oscars are right around the corner.
That means Hollywood Democrats will be even more insufferable than usual.
But a Hollywood actor just tore one “woke” Oscar-nominated film to shreds.
Hollywood is one giant clique, so it’s rare for people inside the belly of the beast to criticize one another publicly.
But famed western actor Sam Elliott unloaded on the “woke” western The Power of the Dog, a Netflix movie that has garnered 12 Academy Award nominations.
Not only did Elliott not like the movie, he specifically took aim at the in-your-face progressive perspective of the film.
Elliott compared the men in the movie to Chippendales dancers.
He said during a podcast discussion with far-left comedian Marc Maron, “That’s what all these f*cking cowboys in that movie look like…They’re all running around in chaps and no shirts. There’s all these allusions to homosexuality throughout the f*cking movie.”
Elliott wasn’t done with his critique.
He took aim at renowned director Jane Campion:
“What the f*ck does this woman—she’s a brilliant director, by the way. I love her work, previous work. But what the f*ck does this woman from down there, New Zealand, know about the American west? And why in the fuck does she shoot this movie in New Zealand and call it Montana and say, ‘This is the way it was?’ So that fucking rubbed me the wrong way, pal.”
Marc Maron: Did you see Power of the Dog, did you see that movie?
Sam Elliott: Yeah do you wanna talk about that piece of shit?
Marc: [ohh noo] You didn’t like that one?
Sam: Fuck no. pic.twitter.com/BGdOd6scwe— Jonathan (@jonathanmb32) February 28, 2022
Elliott has been in many westerns—including 1883, the spinoff from the hit series Yellowstone—so his strong opinions on the genre come from an informed place.

Liberals predictably came after Elliott.
However, the 77-year-old, no-nonsense actor does not fear cancellation like so many other actors.
The Academy Awards are set to take place at the end of the month, this time with people allowed back in the crowds.
The Academy also announced that proof of vaccination and masks will not be required for attendance.
That’s an improvement from the last two years, but the ratings for the event are likely to be terrible yet again.
Many Americans share Elliott’s views on the “woke” fare being pushed by Hollywood.
