Twitter can be one of the most obnoxious echo chambers of vitriol on the entire Internet. It’s that social media site where celebrities consistently interact with the “common people” regularly and that creates an exciting environment of the unexpected.
Anything can happen.
But while it can be a horrific site filled with vitriol, every once in a while something truly hilarious happens and this is guaranteed to make you laugh out loud.
You may have seen this cartoon meme floating around Twitter (or the Internet in general) that features picnic tables in a school cafeteria, the tables are numbered, and there are either people’s faces or companies. The question always posed is “who are you sitting with?”
For instance one was a combination of athletes, coaches and celebrities. Which table would you sit at if it were Chris Pratt, Jon Gruden and Tom Brady OR Emma Stone, Bill Belichick and Cam Newton? It’s things like that.
Adweek is a news information website/magazine that proposed this question.
We couldn’t not participate.
So, it’s lunch time with the best brands on Twitter. Who you sitting with? pic.twitter.com/sCh3pp9UMl— Adweek (@Adweek) August 7, 2019
This was an oddball one because some of them are all food or drink but then number four features Netflix, NASA and Monterey Bay Aquarium. It’s a head scratcher.
But it’s the field day of comments underneath that really made this entire thread into being one of the funniest because it’s like the American companies had a field day with it and all joked around with each other.
The restaurant diner chain Denny’s was pretty hilarious because they inserted a graphic into the meme at the back of the cafeteria.

— Chips Ahoy! (@ChipsAhoy) August 7, 2019
There’s so much more comedy in the thread. It was one of those great moments in Twitter history where everybody came together to promote and simultaneously make fun of each other.
Also, huge shout out to all of the people in charge of their respective company’s Twitter handles.
