The so-called mainstream media is high-fiving each other now that Joe Biden is president.
They treated Biden’s inauguration as a religious rite.
But a former NBA player did one surprising thing to support Donald Trump.
Roughly 30,000 troops were sent to Washington, D.C. to ensure there was no political violence on Inauguration Day after the horrific Capitol building breach on January 6th.
The military presence made D.C. look as if it was under military occupation.
But the Democrats’ fears of another attack were unwarranted.
Nothing happened and there was a peaceful transfer of power, as every sane person expected.
However, one man showed up to protest and show support for Donald Trump.
Former NBA player David Wood, a Forward who played for eight teams from 1989 to 1997, showed up waving a flag and praising God.
A Yahoo reporter asked him if he attended Trump’s rally on the 6th, and Wood responded:
“I couldn’t believe the spin on that. The Trump rally was amazingly peaceful. They started it out in a prayer to God. It was like a country music concert, everybody was getting along. Before he even finished his speech, there was a riot at the Capitol. And everybody’s going to blame it on Donald Trump. He said, ‘March to the Capitol. Do not be violent. We’ll never give up. We’ll never quit.’ I mean, that’s not inciting a riot. It’s so ridiculous, the spin. The spin in the media is really, really bad.”
Wood is correct about the media narrative spiraling out of control.
It didn’t take long for the Democrat Media Complex to use the story to divide the country in every way possible.
The Yahoo reporter asked Wood about Antifa, and he responded:
“I don’t know about Antifa, but I know that…there’s a group of organized people that want to take away our rights, want communism to reign…Want to promote one group of people over other groups of people. We’re all God’s children.”
It’s hard to argue with that sentiment when the hard left of the Democrat Party is openly advocating for socialism and “anti-racist” policies.
Antiracism is a truly Orwellian word because it means the opposite; antiracism means that discrimination is necessary in order to bring about equity, i.e. equality of outcome.
Leftists have been striving for the Marxist ideal of equality of outcome for decades, and now radicals are cynically using race to do so.
That is the basis of critical race theory, which is rooted in Marxist philosophy.
Wood’s one-man protest shows that support for Donald Trump still exists; a recent poll showed that more than one-third of Republicans side with Trump over the establishment.
Trump’s focus on putting America first resonated with 74 million voters.
Those people aren’t going to vanish simply because the Democrats want to pretend they don’t exist.
