There are so many liberal sports commentators who are eager for disgraced former San Francisco 49ers quarterback to make his return to the NFL. They just can’t understand why Kaepernick isn’t in the league anymore.
But the league, team owners and general managers are understandably hesitant. Why wouldn’t they be? Do you really want to drum up that kind of national attention for your franchise and the league when you don’t have to?
But ESPN’s lone on-air conservative personality, Will Cain, just nailed why Colin Kaepernick will never play in the NFL again.
Andrew Luck suddenly retired leaving the starting role to backup Jacoby Brissett
And there are so many starting quarterbacks in the league who are injured right now it feels like this is the first time it has ever happened to this degree in NFL history, especially this early on.
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles was injured in week one with a broken collarbone, which typically takes eight or more weeks to heal.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered a season ending injury after reportedly needing Tommy John’s surgery. It may very well be the end of his career given his age.
New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees tore ligaments in the thumb of his throwing, which will likely take six weeks before he’s out on the field again.
New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold was diagnosed with Mononucleosis, which will sideline him for at least three weeks. And the backup Trevor Siemian suffered a knee/ankle injury on Monday night.
The NFL has a quarterback deficiency right now.
So who are you gonna call? Hint: it’s definitely not the Ghostbusters.
Many sports analysts drive this narrative about how ridiculous it is that teams don’t call up Kaepernick’s agent to strike a deal. And reports that came out on Tuesday claimed his agent is reaching out to multiple teams about their quarterback situation.
But Will Cain of “The Will Cain Show” thinks he’ll never sign anywhere in the NFL and gave several reasons as to why.
Colin Kaeparenick is not getting another job in the NFL. We don’t need to keep bringing it up when every QB goes down. It ain’t happening.

We can debate should he or shouldn’t he be back in the league. But as a matter of reality:
a.) he hasn’t played in 3 years (a lifetime in pro football)
b.) wasnt that great when he last played…— Will Cain (@willcain) September 18, 2019
c.) sued the league (not the normal path to getting rehired)
d.) is associated with one of the few periods of ratings downturns and bad business in the leagues historyNobody is signing up for that. It ain’t happening.https://t.co/NqKbtzgLnT

The best reasons he gave are obviously C and D.
What would happen if you sued your boss and then suddenly tried to get that same job back?
And even if Kaepernick could still play, do you really think they want that headache. It’s just not worth it.
Another thing that Cain missed is the amount of money Kaepernick would want to play because there are reports he wants upwards of $20 million to play. There’s no way that’s happening.
But Will Cain is right on all accounts while the rest of his liberal ESPN colleagues have blinders on.
