ESPN has become a cesspool of progressivism.
The “worldwide leader in sports” is now focused on spreading left-wing messages.
And an ESPN analyst said something jaw-dropping about the Rittenhouse verdict.
The corporate press lost its collective mind over the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict.
Members of the so-called mainstream media spread lies about Rittenhouse, and the facts of the case.
And that even goes for members of the sports media.
In 2016, a larger percentage of sports journalists voted for Hillary Clinton than did news journalists, so sports media are arguably more left-wing than the people who cover politics.
That certainly shines through at ESPN.
In response to Rittenhouse’s acquittal, NBA analyst Jalen Rose tried to tie together why the verdict was somehow a blow against racial justice.
The riots began in Kenosha, Wisconsin after alleged rapist Jacob Blake was shot by police officers while resisting arrest.
And Rose said that Blake had been shot and killed by the police.
There’s just one problem: Jacob Blake is alive, and has raked in millions from crowdfunding sources.
Hey @JalenRose Jacob Blake is still alive, not dead. And he was shot by police because he had a knife, refused to drop it, and a woman he’d sexually assaulted called police asking for protection. This is embarrassing @espn. pic.twitter.com/9ykTEq88tn

Rose isn’t the only leftist to make this mistake.
Even the DCCC said that Blake had been killed in a mailer.
It’s easy to see why Democrats would make this mistake; they have a narrative that they must uphold at all times, and the cases they highlight almost always result in death.
Rose’s take wasn’t even the worst one on the network.
ESPN’s daily NBA show began with a segment dedicated to the Rittenhouse verdict.
The three panelists spent the segment regurgitating lies about the case, such as Rittenhouse “crossing state lines” with a rifle.
Disney is calling all the lawyers lmao she just got this show too. Rough year for the #NBA pic.twitter.com/yhCLHO9EHB

Andrews is being fast-tracked at the network.
Former host of the show Rachel Nichols was ousted after someone at the network leaked a private conversation she had with a LeBron James associate, and Maria Taylor—Nichols’ replacement—couldn’t get her contract demands met so she bolted to NBC Sports.
So Andrews jumped to the head of the line with limited experience, but she clearly has the correct politics for the job.
