The anti-Americans protests that swept across the NFL were a disgrace.
Over the season, many protesters were shamed into standing.
However, Trump just sent out a strong reminder why it was unpatriotic to kneel for the anthem in the first place.
Trump tweeted out a picture of a woman and a baby honoring the tombstone of a fallen soldier.
President Trump once again set his sights on protesting NFL players, in a Thursday morning tweet.
As the NFL gets ready to begin its postseason play this upcoming weekend, Trump captioned a tweet of a woman and child on the ground, mourning near the grave of a soldier. In the caption, Trump wrote: “So beautiful…Show this picture to the NFL players who still kneel!”

The president has made his feelings toward anthem protesters well-known this year. In late September, at a political rally in Alabama, the president called protesting players “SOBs,” and said he wished their team owners would fire them.
That speech sparked a backlash, as more than 200 NFL players, coaches, and executives protested during the anthem the following Sunday.
However, since that time, the number of protesting players has dwindled to the point that in Week 17, only a dozen players took part in some form of anthem demonstration.
Several of the anti-American protesters also embarrassed the country abroad by kneeling for the Star-Spangled Banner, then standing for the British and Mexican national anthems.
For their reprehensible behavior, the protesters were awarded $90 million from the owners for activist causes.
From The Hill:
The NFL […] reached a nearly $90 million agreement with players’ representatives to provide financial support for the players’ community activism efforts.
The Washington Post reports that a source close to the negotiations says the agreement will provide nearly $90 million for causes deemed important by the players between the agreement’s signing and 2023, with a particular focus on issues facing the African-American community.
Goodell himself has said that the league believes players should stand for the anthem, but has made no effort to punish players who choose not to.
[T]he president again attacked the league for a rumored plan to keep players in the locker room during the national anthem to prevent on-camera protests.
“The NFL is now thinking about a new idea — keeping teams in the Locker Room during the National Anthem next season,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “That’s almost as bad as kneeling! When will the highly paid Commissioner finally get tough and smart? This issue is killing your league!”
It’s a shame the NFL realizes it has a problem on its hands but refuses to do anything to rectify it.
At least patriotic Americans haven’t lost sight of what the flag represents.
