The liberals hate the NRA.
Ever since the Parkland high school massacre, there has been a massive resurgence against the 2nd Amendment.
Now Dick’s Sporting Goods just defied our rights in the most despicable way.
Dick’s Sporting Goods has always been a reliable venue for clothing, sporting equipment, and firearms.
However, the company recently announced that it will raise the minimum age for all gun sales to 21.
Additionally, Dick’s will no longer sell high-capacity magazines—which allow shooters to fire more rounds without reloading—nor any weapons similar to“assault-style” rifles in their 35 Field & Stream stores and website.
According to Dick’s CEO Edward Stack:
“As we sat and talked about it with our management team, it was — to a person — that this is what we need to do,” he said.
“These kids talk about enough is enough. We concluded if these kids are brave enough to organize and do what they’re doing, we should be brave enough to take this stand.”
So a bunch of adolescent kids have officially hijacked your 2nd Amendment rights.
Breitbart reports:
Dick’s Sporting Goods made a February 28 announcement informing the public that the retail chain will end “assault-style rifles”–again.
The retail chain made a similar announcement days after a gunman carried a stolen AR-15 and handgun into a gun-free zone and killed 26 innocents.
On December 18, 2012, Breitbart News reported that DICK’S Sporting Goods was suspending sales of “modern sporting rifles,” a moniker that encompasses AR-15s, AK-47s, and similar firearms. CNN reported that DICK’S expunged “modern sporting rifles” from its website on the same day.
Dick’s is now in wash, rinse, repeat mode. In the wake of the February 14 Florida school shooting they are again announcing an end to “assault-style rifle” sales:
We deeply believe that this country’s most precious gift is our children. They are our future. We must keep them safe. Beginning today, DICK’S Sporting Goods is committed to the following: https://t.co/J4OcB6XJnupic.twitter.com/BaTJ9LaCYe

Dick’s most current plan to quit selling “assault-style rifles” comes after admitting that the Florida school gunman legally purchased a shotgun from one of the retailer’s stores. The school gunman did not use the shotgun in his attack.
Dicks’ Tweeted, “[The shotgun] was not the gun, nor type of gun, [the gunman] used in the shooting. But it could have been.”
In response, the company has received an immense backlash of criticism from 2nd Amendment advocates, which even Stack foresaw.
“The hunt business is an important part of the business, no doubt about it. And we know there will be some backlash,”Stack admitted.
And while he is absolutely correct to anticipate “some backlash”,Dick’s will likely get more than they bargained for.
A recent poll shows that the companies who are cutting ties with the NRA are seeing their public opinion numbers drop.

So in the end, not only willpeople have less ability to purchase firearms to defend themselves, this ridiculous decision will surely affect Dick’s bottom line and ultimately cost people their jobs.
