Deranged former ESPN anchor Keith Olbermann is completely off his rocker.
His political opinions get more and more unhinged.
Now Olbermann is calling for civil war.
Keith Olbermann was once known for being a hilarious co-anchor on ESPN’s flagship program SportsCenter alongside Dan Patrick.
Ever since leaving ESPN for MSNBC, Olbermann has descended further into left-wing lunacy.
Now Olbermann is calling for an “economic civil war” against red states over gun control.
During a promotion for his pitiable podcast, Olbermann said, “We are owned by guns, and therefore there is only one way to stop the mass shootings. It is to suffocate the businesses that make billions of dollars in profits off guns, to destroy the gun lobby, the death lobby, and the Republican Party that defends those lobbies and those businesses. And the only way to do that is an economic civil war. The blue states have all the money. They must starve the red states into submission, or another 600,000 Americans will be murdered in the next 10-12 years.”
"We are OWNED by guns. Only one thing will change that.
"We must have Economic Civil War. Blue States must financially starve the Red States, the Gun Lobby, the GOP, the Death Lobby, and the crooked judiciary into submission.
"NOW."

Everything about Olbermann’s rant is insane.
First, his numbers are off.
There are roughly 13,000 murders each year, and not all of those are committed with guns.
For his prediction of 600,000 (the number of people killed in the Civil War) murders to come true “in the next 10-12 years,” an actual hot war would already have to be afoot.
Next, Olbermann should probably take a look at a map.
Most of the country is red except for big cities.
Those red areas that Olbermann detests so much grow the food.
Also, Olbermann and other gun grabbers believe that people want guns because of the boogeyman known as “the gun lobby,” but they have it backward.
The gun lobby exists because people want guns, they believe in the Second Amendment, and they want their rights protected.
Finally, most of the gun crime occurs in Democrat-run cities where gun laws are the strictest.
And the gun crime is mostly committed with illegally-obtained weapons.
Disenfranchising law-abiding citizens will not make gun crime disappear; it will have the opposite effect.
Olbermann’s inane tweet got ratioed, i.e. more comments than likes and retweets combined, which happens often to him.
Olbermann recently argued for abolishing the Supreme Court, arguing, “It has become necessary to dissolve the Supreme Court of the United States. The first step is for a state the ‘court’ has now forced guns upon, to ignore this ruling. Great. You’re a court? Why and how do think you can enforce your rulings? #IgnoreTheCourt…Hey SCOTUS, send the SCOTUS army here to enforce your ruling, you House of Lords radicals pretending to be a court.”
Keith Olbermann is what can happen when leftists recede further into echo chambers with no feedback and no pushback.
He went from one of the best sports anchors of all time to a caricature of a left-wing crank.
