American culture is dominated by the Left.
But people on the Right are beginning to understand the importance of fighting the culture war.
Now a country music star hit number one with a song liberals won’t like.
People in the entertainment industry are assumed to be left-wing.
Even music genres like country, which has traditionally leaned conservative, have been infused with wokeness because of top-down enforcement from leftist executives.
But country music star John Rich, from the famed duo Big & Rich, is an unabashed conservative who supported Donald Trump in 2016.
And his new song “Progress” will make liberals’ heads explode.
Rich took direct aim at Joe Biden and the “woke” dogma of the day.
The lyrics go:
There’s a hole in this country where its heart used to be
And Old Glory’s divided, on fire in the street
They say Building Back Better will make America great
If that’s a wave of the future, all I’ve got to say
Stick your progress where the sun don’t shine
Keep your big mess away from me and mine
If you leave us alone, well we’d all be just fine
Stick your progress where the sun don’t shine
Fans gravitated to the song and it hit number one on the iTunes charts, beating out new singles from pop stars Billie Eilish and Lizzo.
Rich also edged out Kate Bush’s song “Running Up That Hill,” which has enjoyed a remarkable resurgence after being featured in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things.
Felt good to beat the machine today:) Thanks to all of you for the massive support! We are making good #Progress #NumberOne #Worldwide pic.twitter.com/8qaWGBrKGd

Rich is one of the few people in the entertainment industry who is not afraid to speak out against the left-wing orthodoxy.
Last year, he said of the country music industry, “There are many conservative country music singers that just won’t say anything to push back against the ideologies that aim to erase what they care about. Why? You know why. I hope soon we see them start to speak up. The country music industry is out of touch with the audience.”
The problem is significantly worse in the film industry where there is virtually no support network for conservatives.
Even the hint of being right-wing draws skepticism from the liberal gatekeepers.
For example, superstar actor Chris Pratt has been constantly maligned by the left in recent years because he’s a Christian who loves America and likes to hunt.
He also once wore a “Don’t Tread on Me” T-shirt, which drove the Left insane.
Some conservatives have been grandfathered in because they have been around so long, namely Clint Eastwood and Mel Gibson.
But others have not been so lucky.
Long-time actor James Woods was fired by his agent for his outspoken right-wing views on Twitter.
Rich’s song hitting number one follows a trend of other anti-woke songs that have done well.
Multiple “Let’s Go, Brandon” songs hit number one on the iTunes charts in 2021.
