It’s a shocking revelation that embattled former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick hasn’t made national headlines in a while because the liberal media is obsessed with him.
The last time Kaepernick made the news was when he settled his collusion lawsuit with the NFL, which many thought was estimated in the $50-80 million range but then it was uncovered that it was likely in between $5-15 million.
But while he hasn’t been in the news recently, Colin Kaepernick just inserted himself again and seems to be furious because one NFL franchise made a major move.
Kaepernick claimed it was a protest against social injustice and police brutality against African Americans but why did he have to disrespect those that have given or put their lives on the line everyday for our freedoms?
But beyond Kaepernick, there are a lot of controversial figures in the NFL that didn’t necessarily disrespect the American Flag but have been involved in domestic violence disputes like now-Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt and his former Kansas City teammate wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
That’s not to mention all of the performance enhancement drug violations per the league rules that usually result in suspensions and/or fines.
These are specific reasons why Kaepernick thinks the NFL has been unfair to him – deflecting blame and ignoring the fact that his last couple of years in the league were below average at best.
And it’s also the reason why he was seemingly furious about the Oakland Raiders new acquisition, Richie Incognito, who was signed to a veteran minimum deal with no upside to his contract unless he can control himself on and off the field.
Upon the Oakland Raiders signing Incognito, NFL columnist Mike Freeman was incredibly disturbed by the signing.
He wrote on Twitter, “[Kaepernick] can’t get a job but this guy can. Unbelievable.”
Then a user called LEFT, PhD wrote, “The “Progressive” Bay Area NFL teams have opened their arms to MAGA maggot Nick Bosa and Richie “I openly call teammates N*gger” Incognito. Meanwhile Kaepernick’s Blackballing from the NFL (during the PRIME of his) was for the “crime” of wanting Black folks to stay alive.”
And it was that tweet that Kaepernick retweeted. Clearly, the Raiders signing also perturbed him.
San Francisco’s 2nd round pick Nick Bosa is a President Trump supporter and was forced to delete his tweets because it’s controversial to hold that viewpoint.
As for Richie Incognito; that’s another story.
Incognito has had several off-field problems, most notably his involvement in a well-publicized bullying scandal while with the Miami Dolphins where he called his African American teammates the “N-word” on many occasions.
More recently, he was convicted of disorderly conduct stemming from an Aug. 2018 incident at an Arizona funeral home shortly after his father’s death where he allegedly used many racial slurs.
He was also reportedly taken to a mental health hospital after making threats in a Florida gym in May 2018.
And that’s the reason why Kaepernick is furious. He and his representatives can complain all they want about the unfairness of all this but the difference – the real difference – is that Incognito and Bosa can still ball out; Kaepernick cannot.
