The left-wing echo chamber in the entertainment industry is getting worse and worse.
Anyone with traditional views runs the risk of being ostracized.
Now a Christian actress was ripped by a country music star for an insane reason.
The onslaught against actress Candace Cameron Bure is because of her views in support of traditional marriage.
Bure, who has starred in several Hallmark Channel movies, left Hallmark to make content for the Great American Family network.
During a Wall Street Journal interview, Bure was asked if Great American Family would have movies featuring same-sex couples and she responded, “I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core.”
For that grave “sin,” Bure has been ripped up and down by leftists in the entertainment industry.
The latest celebrity to jump on the dogpile is liberal country music star Maren Morris.
In response to the Bure slander, Morris wrote on Instagram, “Make DJ [Tanner] gay again.”
DJ Tanner was the name of Bure’s character on the hit family sitcom Full House and recent sequel limit series Fuller House.
Morris recently got into a spat with Brittany Aldean, wife of country music star Jason Aldean, after she called out the recent far-left trend of parents medically and surgically “transitioning” their children to the opposite gender.
Aldean said, “I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase…I love this girly life.”
Morris replied, “It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? … Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”
Aldean fired back in a statement, “Advocating for the genital mutilation of children under the disguise of love and calling it ‘gender affirming care’ is one of the worst evils…I will always support my children and do what I can to protect their innocence…Some parents want to be accepted by society so badly, that they’re willing to make life-altering decisions for their children who aren’t old enough to fully comprehend the consequences of those actions.”
Bure did not back down to the deluge of hate she received.
She wrote in an Instagram post, “I am a devoted Christian. Which means that I believe that every human being bears the image of God. Because of that, I am called to love all people, and I do. If you know me, you know that I am a person who loves fiercely and indiscriminately…To the members of the media responsible for using this opportunity to fan flames of conflict and hate, I have a simple message: I love you anyway. To those who hate what I value and who are attacking me online: I love you. To those who have tried to assassinate my character: I love you. To everyone reading this, of any race, creed, sexuality, or political party, including those who have tried to bully me with name-calling, I love you.”
After the dust-up with Aldean, Morris skipped the most recent Country Music Awards.
The bulk of country music fans did not appreciate Morris’s broadside against the Aldeans.
Unfortunately for Bure, she does not have the same level of support within Hollywood.
