NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley is never one to hold his tongue.
He’s not afraid to speak his mind on a number of hot-button issues.
And Barkley called out the NBA as frauds after what LeBron James did.
LeBron James has become the face of the NBA, and he’s overseen a dramatic decrease in fan viewership.
One of the reasons why is James and the league have both decided to become overtly political.
James has become an irresponsible critic of the police, and the sports media praises him almost universally.
But TNT analyst Charles Barkley is a different breed.
He called out the idiotic “defund the police” rhetoric of the hard Left, and now Barkley is going after the NBA.
James attended a star-studded promotional event for the Lobos 1707 tequila company, which was a violation of league COVID-19 protocols.
James was supposed to sit out for 10-14 days, but with the playoffs just beginning, the NBA had a dilemma on its hands.
And Barkley said there was no way the NBA had the courage of conviction to suspend James at such a critical point in the season.
“Ain’t no f***ing way LeBron James is going to be sit out because of health and safety protocols.”
Charles Barkley weighs in on the NBA and LeBron as only he can 🗣

Barkley was of course correct.
From USA Today:
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James violated the NBA’s health and safety protocols but will not face a 10- to 14-day quarantine away from the team. James attended a promotional event for Lobos 1707 tequila, a spirit in which James is an investor. “It’s a violation of the agreed upon protocols, and, as we have in other comparable instances around the league, it has been addressed with the team,” a league spokesman said.
The treatment James got is further proof that the establishment only cares about COVID when it suits their aims.
The experts were vehemently against anti-lockdown gatherings, but protests for “social justice” were not only permitted but encouraged.
Experts like Dr. Anthony Fauci have completely destroyed their credibility.
For all intents and purposes, the pandemic is over.
James is free to go to promotional tequila company events and play in basketball games with fans in the stands.
Actions speak louder than words, and the actions of the elites scream that the country is done with COVID.
Kudos to Barkley for driving home that point by shining a spotlight on the absurd double standard.
