They always say medical doctors, or those that possess PhD’s in general, have God complexes because they either save or manipulate life in the same way that God can only do it.
But that level of conceit is also true of many Hollywood celebrities, especially the most famous of them like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
And Arnold Schwarzenegger just made the most embarrassingly laughable claim about President Trump.
It’s almost pathetic to see a washed up actor desperately trying to get back in the good graces of American or international audiences – desperately yearning for the old days when they were relevant.
Once you have a few box-office bombs in a row then it’s nearly impossible to get back what once was, although it does happen, like in the case of John Travolta when he starred in “Pulp Fiction.”
Other times, some of the biggest movie stars in the world have to rely on their old successful franchises in order to drum up their careers. For example, Sylvester Stallone has another Rambo film coming out soon.
And Arnold Schwarzenegger will reprise his role as the terminator in “Terminator Dark Fate.” It’s almost comical when you think about it. Every other movie Stallone or Schwarzenegger does nowadays go straight to video-on-demand.
You would think that would humble someone but not Schwarzenegger.
He’s still talking trash about President Trump in a feud that goes back a long time and apparently Schwarzenegger thinks he knows exactly why it started; that Trump wants to be him.
The former governor of California, 72, said in a new interview that he thinks Trump is “in love” with him. He noted, “That’s the reality of it. With Trump, he wants to be me.”
That’s laughable. How delusional do you have to be in order to think the most powerful man in the world wants to be a washed up movie star?
His reasoning is physical.
In the upcoming cover story for Men’s Health magazine Schwarzenegger said, “I don’t think he fears me. But I remember that in the old days, when we went to the wrestling matches, the way he admired people with bodies, and the way they would jump around in the ring, and to perform physical stunts and stuff like that — he had great admiration for that.”
The feud between them exacerbated in 2017 when Schwarzenegger became the host of President Trump’s old show “The Apprentice.”
Ratings were abysmal and NBC ultimately canceled the show after only one season. Although, Trump claimed he was fired. He was still executive producer after all but had no involvement in the day-to-day.
Trump tweeted nearly two short months after he was inaugurated, “Arnold Schwarzenegger isn’t voluntarily leaving the Apprentice, he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show.”
However, Schwarzenegger correctly pointed out, “With Trump being involved in the show, people have a bad taste and don’t want to participate as a spectator or as a sponsor or in any other way support the show. It’s a very divisive period now and I think this show got caught up in all that division.”
Or, people just don’t want to see Arnold Schwarzenegger anymore. That’s also a possibility.
