The #MeToo movement has claimed many scalps.
Seemingly upstanding members of the media—and the public eye more broadly—have watched their careers go up in smoke amid tawdry accusations.
But the latest celebrity to get hit with sexual assault allegations is truly shocking.
The fall of Hollywood mega-producer Harvey Weinstein sent a shockwave through the entertainment world.
Multiple women credibly accused him of transgressions ranging from uncomfortable flirting to forcible rape.
Screenwriter Scott Rosenberg, among others, said everyone in Hollywood knew about Weinstein.
Whispers of Weinstein’s predations flitted around town, but they were just that—whispers.
The walls finally came crashing down when Ronan Farrow broke the story in The New Yorker.
Weinstein’s demise unleashed a chain reaction of women—and a few men—speaking out, and thus the #MeToo movement was born.
All of sudden, respected careers in film, music, and media were totaled.
Kevin Spacey, Matt Lauer, Charlie Rose, and several more became radioactive.
It even spread to politics.
Al Franken was pressured into giving up his Senate seat, and most recently, Eric Bauman, chairman of the California Democratic Party, got swept up in #MeToo.
Even Asia Argento, one of the founders of the #MeToo movement, went down in disgrace amid charges of statutory rape.
The latest celebrity in the #MeToo crosshairs is the world’s most famous astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Tyson, like Bill Nye, is allowed by the left to have a big platform because he’s willing to bash Christians and conservatives.
He’s taken many not-so-subtle swipes at Donald Trump and Republicans.
Look what happened the last time you didn’t vote.

He mocks Christianity but conspicuously remains silent on Islam.
On this day long ago, a child was born who, by age 30, would transform the world. Happy Birthday Isaac Newton b. Dec 25, 1642

Every single year around Christmas time, he makes a hackneyed joke about Jews and Muslims calling Christmas whatever day of the week it is.
QUESTION: ThIs year, what do all the world’s Muslims and Jews call December 25th? ANSWER: Thursday

Merry Christmas to the world’s 2.5 billion Christians. And to the remaining 5 billion people, including Muslims Atheists Hindus Buddhists Animists & Jews, Happy Monday.

He wouldn’t dare make a similar joke about Ramadan or Eid.
Tyson is also a globalist who apparently doesn’t believe in borders.
Had to wait in line to renew a Passport allowing me to visit members of my own species across artificially conceived borders.

There are plenty of countries that would consider him a heretic for the things he says.
American borders have afforded him more wealth and freedom than any other place on Earth could have.
With Tyson’s background in mind, the three allegations against him suggest all of his moralizing and sermonizing were fraudulent.
One woman, a former assistant, alleged sexual harassment; she claimed Tyson preyed on her in a way that made her uncomfortable, prompting her to quit.
Another woman said Tyson felt her up without consent.
The most damning allegation is decades old.
She claims Tyson raped her when they were both graduate students at the University of Texas.
Tyson is innocent until proven guilty and should be afforded due process, but he acknowledged that some of the accusations are true.
He just doesn’t believe they constitute anything untoward.
Another aspect of the Tyson allegations are how they line up with the accusations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Kavanaugh’s career was almost ruined by a 35-year-old charge with zero corroboration, and the left was all too eager to participate.
They took glee in calling him a rapist and writing him off as too angry and intemperate to sit on the Supreme Court… after being called a rapist.
In the case of Tyson, his alleged victim recalled far more details (in a 2014 blog post) than did Christine Blasey Ford.
But treating Tyson the same as Kavanaugh is problematic for the left.
First, throwing Tyson on the pyre isn’t advantageous for them; sacrificing Kavanaugh had the reward of power.
Second, Tyson is a man of the left, so the rules are different.
All of the sudden, the left will be very concerned with due process of law and a thorough investigation.
The left has already lost its credibility in these matters.
They don’t believe in due process.
The left has a different set of rules for their own.
Whatever shakes out in the allegations against Tyson, hopefully, justice is served.
