The Me Too scandal is coming up on its second year anniversary at the end of this month but that doesn’t mean the movement is even close to claiming its next sexual assaulter.
So many Hollywood power figures careers are effectively over including Kevin Spacey, Harvey Weinstein, Brett Ratner, Louis CK, Russell Simmons, R. Kelly and a slew of others.
And now another one bites the dust because this big time Hollywood director is now accused of sexual assault.
Super producer and Academy Award nominated CEO of the Weinstein Company is for all intents and purposes the face of the Me Too Movement. The allegations against the “Shakespeare in Love” and “Good Will Hunting” producer are the most harrowing, which include felony rape, and span three decades.
The worst part about Hillary Clinton’s diehard supporter and fundraiser is how many A-list Hollywood celebrities who supported Weinstein’s alleged salacious disgusting acts. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck knew about it for years and did absolutely nothing.
The only actor who seemed to have put his foot down was actor Brad Pitt who claimed he told Weinstein before a Broadway show that he would “f—king kill” him if he ever went near Gwyneth Paltrow again. So at least somebody stood up to his menacing and Pitt was barely famous at the time.
And that was nearly twenty-five years ago.
Currently, Weinstein is in the midst of five different rape first-degree charges where if convicted he could spend 5-25 years in prison on each one of them.
Kevin Spacey has escaped the hands of justice so far. A Nantucket accuser suddenly dropped the charges against him unexpectedly where many called behind-the-scenes foul play against the two-time Academy Award winner. But a different Malibu massage masseuse accuser’s lawyer announced his client was dropping the charges due to his sudden untimely death, which had even more people calling foul play.
These were serious decision makers in Hollywood.
And now Director Rob Cohen – known for the original 2001 “The Fast and the Furious” movie and “xXx” – is following in their footsteps after he was accused by a woman who says that he plied her with alcohol to the point of passing out and then suddenly woke up naked.
The Huffington Post article reveals, “Although Jane’s memory of the later parts of the evening is incomplete, there are details she remembers vividly. She remembers feeling suddenly alone with Cohen in the large restaurant after the other diners had trickled out. She remembers starting to feel “fuzzy.” She remembers him leaning over to kiss her cheek and thinking that was strange. She remembers being at another bar with Cohen — she distinctly remembers the checkerboard-patterned floor. The next thing she remembers is waking up naked. She remembers Cohen’s face in her crotch and his fingers inside her. She had not consented to any of this. She made her way to the bathroom to vomit and stumbled back to the bed. Cohen tried to penetrate her, but he stopped when she told him to.”
The allegations are obviously damaging if true and they sound reminiscent of how convicted felon comedian, Bill Cosby, allegedly drugged and forcibly raped thirty different women during the height of his career.
Cohen’s accuser claims she sought treatment for sexual assault following the incident and also claims there are people who knew about it because she confided in them at that time.
Not only that, Cohen’s daughter, Valkyrie Weather, accused him in September that the powerful director sexually molested her as a child, an allegation her Mother claimed in the divorce proceedings against him.
