The Democratic Party is completely off the rails.
The poster child for the radically hewing party is freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
In just a short time, she’s made a series of gaffes, but her latest comment about the NFL is truly moronic.
The Democratic Party is scarily moving away from being a mainstream American party.
They more resemble a Fabian socialist party of Europe.
The Democrats advocate for tax rates as high as 90%, a complete government takeover of the health care sector, and legalized abortion after birth, which is infanticide.
They’re intentionally balkanizing the country along the lines of race, class, sex, and any other group that allows them to seize more power.
The Democrats also want to obliterate the biological realities between men and women.
While some might argue this radical streak in the party is on the fringes, it’s clearly become the foundation of the party.
“Moderates” like Hillary Clinton are being put out to pasture in favor of unabashed socialists, and the mainstream media is completely on board with the radical transformation.
Nobody personifies this new age Democrat more than New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
After narrowly winning a low-turnout primary against complacent incumbent Joe Crowley, Ocasio-Cortez has catapulted to stardom.
She’s gained millions of Twitter followers, appeared on several talk shows, and was even the subject of an award-winning documentary.
And she’s not wasting any time dragging the Democratic Party further left than ever before.
Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal would destroy the economy while costing untold trillions of dollars.
Ocasio-Cortez only agrees to softball interviews, so when asked how the Green New Deal would get funded, she cavalierly says, “We just pay for it,” and the interviewer nods along.
That is the depth of Ocasio-Cortez’s economic knowledge, yet many have proclaimed her the leader of the party.
And the new party leader decided to chime in on the NFL.
It started when Texas freshman Congressman Dan Crenshaw made a joke about the New England Patriots winning yet another Super Bowl—their sixth in only 18 years.
Crenshaw quipped that perhaps the NFL should tax the Patriots at 70% to make the league more equitable.
Ocasio-Cortez completely misunderstood the joke, but dove in anyway with her undeserved bravado:

Ocasio-Cortez is proposing a Green New Deal, which is the most radical piece of legislation put forward since Franklin Roosevelt.

It started when Texas freshman Congressman Dan Crenshaw made a joke about the New England Patriots winning yet another Super Bowl—their sixth in only 18 years.
Crenshaw was thrust into the public eye when comedian Pete Davidson made fun of his military service on Saturday Night Live.

Ocasio-Cortez completely misunderstood the joke, but dove in anyway with her undeserved bravado:
The average NFL salary is $2.1 million, so most players would never experience a 70% rate.
The owners who refuse to hire Kaepernick would, though. https://t.co/AnST2lCiU9

Crenshaw’s joke had nothing to do with players—or anyone—actually getting taxed, but that didn’t matter to Ocasio-Cortez.
She responded with her hackneyed “tax the rich” solution.
Leftists like her are fond of pointing out that the top tax rate under Dwight Eisenhower was 91%.
But that 91% rate was more symbolic than anything.
Almost nobody in the country actually made enough money to be in that tax bracket and those who did availed themselves of loose tax laws.
The top effective tax rate in the 1950s was closer to 40%, and the middle-class tax burden was proportionally larger than it is today.
However, leftist politicians lie and say their big-government boondoggles won’t raise taxes on the middle class, just “the rich.”
These economic know-nothings need to be kept far away from the budget.
