Actors are insufferable right now.
These Hollywood elites “act” like they know what’s best for hardworking Americans right now, but they’re wrong.
And now one respected acting legend has doubled-down on his President Trump hatred.
Robert De Niro is one of the greatest acting legends in the history of film.
He has won Oscars for his acting performances in The Godfather: Part II and Raging Bull.
You would think he would have a level head when it comes to our President and Making America Great Again, but apparently, he cares little about hardworking blue-collar Americans.
But Robert De Niro genuinely hates Trump, in fact, when he was just on SNL recently he played Robert Mueller ridiculing Ben Stiller as Michael Cohen.
And apparently, it’s gone to his head.
“Wednesday on NBC’s “Today,” actor Robert De Niro said he would like to continue his role on SNL as special counsel Robert Mueller in a sketch where he takes President Donald Trump to jail.
De Niro said, “I hope there’s a couple where I interrogate, I arrest him, and then I take him to jail.”
When asked about being politically active, De Niro said, “I have never been this active. But when I see what’s going on with this guy, you have no choice but to be active. It’s past the point of being passive. People have to speak out. They have to speak out over and over and over again. This guy, this administration, is beyond belief. It has to stop.”
But now he’s taken it one step further at his annual Tribeca Film Festival when he unfairly criticized President Trump and actually praised the media.
Everybody knows the liberal mainstream media has been biased against Trump and Hollywood elitists like De Niro pretend like Trump is the bad guy and the press is the good guy.
“Actor Robert De Niro kicked off the 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival Wednesday with a fiery speech, in which he applauded reporters as “saviors” and called President Donald Trump a “madman.”
“Look at all the Fake News writers here today,” the two-time Oscar-winner joked in front of a crowd of reporters at the Thalassa Restaurant. “The country has had a bad year, and you — the press – have taken a lot of hits.
America is being run by a madman who wouldn’t recognize the truth if it came inside a bucket of his beloved Colonel Sanders Fried Chicken,” De Niro continued.
“When he doesn’t like what he hears, he dismisses it by saying it’s un-American and damning it as ‘fake news.’ But we know the truth. All thinking people do.”
“Your job is difficult enough without being attacked by our Lowlife-in-Chief. The press has done an admirable job this past year,” he said. “We’re looking at journalists as our saviors, in the same way we used to look at our political leaders.”
De Niro has long-derided Donald Trump, describing him, nearly two years ago, as “Totally nuts.”
The Hollywood veteran ramped up his anti-Trump talk a few months later, announcing in a celebrity voter registration PSA that he’d like to punch Trump in the face.
After Trump’s election, De Niro said he was “depressed” and said the real estate mogul winning the White House made him “feel like I did after 9/11.”
More recently, De Niro has lampooned the president on Saturday Night Live. After playing the part of special counsel Robert Mueller last week, the actor said Wednesday that he hopes to revise his role so he can interrogate Trump, “arrest him, and then I take him to jail.”
It’s too late for him to come around and he’s already buried himself in the “acting legends” category at this point.
Nobody cares what his politics are and it should continue to be that way.
